STAYWARD

Hayward's agent said that his client "is upset someone reported that, and he's re-evaluating everything".

Sounds to me that the report was legit, and Hayward is simply upset he didn't announce it his way. Hopefully this causes him to change his mind about the Celtics.

I would hate to see this, Hayward backpedaling back to the Jazz just because someone leaked his decision.

If the Jazz and Celtics are going to discuss a sign-and-trade, it would come after Hayward makes his decision and announcement. A sign-and-trade doesn't hold up Hayward's initial decision. I don't think it's a sign-and-trade that's being discussed. I think there's another trade in the works, and someone is trying to put the Jazz over a barrel.

Perhaps. I'm trying to think back to previous sign and trades and can't recall if the commitment to sign came first or the sign and trade news came at the same time.

It's a possibility that he told Boston in trust and they leaked it. If I told my boss something only he should know, and he let it out, I wouldn't be too pleased and questions of trust would arise.

I think you're right - GH or more likely his agent told The Celtics he is leaning towards signing with them and it made the rounds through upper management and someone with loose lips leaked it out.

Ultimately I doubt this changes his final decision.

bye bye Hayward!
