STAYWARD

Anybody that thinks Boston is giving us a damn thing is out of their mind. They don't have to and won't.

*If* a sign and trade happens, it would probably be Bradley.

If that is the best offer Jazz say no. Their cap room this year is more valuable then a player that will be gone after this year. A sign and trade would be doing Celtics a favor since they need to cut salary. Jazz could ask for something they might want like Crowder or tell them no thanks and try and sign someone like Gallo.

No - Boston loves Bradley. He is proven. Brown is potential. Every Boston fan is okay losing Brown to get Hayward. Just like every Rockets fan was okay losing a 1st and Beverley to get Paul.

Hayward may have asked them to throw Utah a bone to help him feel less guilty about leaving us high and dry. Only reason to do it because he could get assets for both smart or crowder and they have to move someone of that salary.

This could be it. Plus, he might really want that 5th year and extra $40M plus.

I really think something else is going on here. The Jazz are exploring a trade or two that they discussed with Hayward and Hayward can't make his decision until that happens. In the meantime, this drama only serves to put pressure on the Jazz to give up another asset in a trade for whichever player is in play.

I really don't think Hayward is this mentally conflicted. That's just a cover story.

I honestly thought it would take another all star or near all star player to keep Hayward. Rubio is not that. Maybe there was some truth to the Carmelo/love rumors? Perhaps DL is trying to get love.

Hayward's agent said that his client "is upset someone reported that, and he's re-evaluating everything".

Sounds to me that the report was legit, and Hayward is simply upset he didn't announce it his way. Hopefully this causes him to change his mind about the Celtics.

If the Jazz and Celtics are going to discuss a sign-and-trade, it would come after Hayward makes his decision and announcement. A sign-and-trade doesn't hold up Hayward's initial decision. I don't think it's a sign-and-trade that's being discussed. I think there's another trade in the works, and someone is trying to put the Jazz over a barrel.
