Well we don't have much to go on, so his cousin following the celtics, Isaiah Thomas, jaylen brown, Al Horford, and Jayson Tatum on instagram today is disconcerting for me. He probably thought he wasn't low key enough to follow them without anyone noticing. Or he's trolling, but why would he do that?

I walked into the room and ESPN had Hayward as a Celtic on their free agency board. My heart sank. Whew! Still a little hope.

At the end of the day, this is all a brilliant marketing campain, regardless of the decision. I think a lot of the weird ambiguities can be attributed to his agent knowing the game.
I think all of this is good news for the Jazz. To me its one of two things.
1. He has been planning to stay with the Jazz but wanted to put pressure on them and wanted to grow his brand. Right now the Jazz know he is coming back and keeping quiet while they work on some deals and let the drama grow.
2. Hayward is genuinely torn and still debating. Jazz are very much in the running in this scenario and I think ultimately he will see that we are the better team if winning is the most important thing to him. Celtics might have an ability to win more when their rookies and future picks develop but that is a long ways away, after Hayward next contract runs up. I could see him leaving for another team if this is true but I think Jazz have just as good or better chance than the other teams.
There is a third option that Hayward hates the Jazz and is really bitter about things. He has decided to leave and just wants to hurt Jazz fans and the organization as much as possible. This doesnt seem likely to me but I guess it could be.
Obviously there are tons of other options but those are the ones I see as most plausible.
