Studies show that people who believe in press release "studies" are less intelligent THAN those who laugh at them (both the studies and the idiots who quote them.)
I accept this study as long as I accept blind spot bias studies alongside it. Blind spot bias seems to be more acute in intelligent people - according to studies. So what do we make of that when combined with this study? That would tell us that you don't want to be on the side of intelligent people when they are theorizing about something they don't know anything about. That's when the whole blind spot bias most occurs. So in God vs. No God....you might want to follow...the meek....the humble. Not in my opinion, just according to studies of course.
Of course I think that I am. Question for you is how you measure intelligence though? IQ test? General education? For example does person who wins "Jeopardy" is more intelligent than doctor/professor/pHD in biochemistry who outside of his own narrow scientific field has very limited knowledge of history, literature, religion or philosophy?
For example - once at work here in Canada we had a talk about one friend who had his dog named Friday. I joking asked few of my co-workers ( all with university degree's and few of them certainly religious people ) do they have any ideas what that name might be about - to my shocking revelation none of them have ever read or heard about Daniel Defoe "Robinson Crusoe". So am I more intelligent because I have read that classic book or was I just was bigger book worm than them when I was teenager?
