Why do so many people turning left have to watch the car ahead of them completely clear the intersection before they start making their turn?

Every single car on the road has brakes. All of them. Make your turn! Nut to butt. Let's clear this left turn lane out!
 
Sounds like "verse" is rapidly replacing "versus". Just heard it used in a commercial. I told someone the other day that it was versus and they said "no, you verse someone, so it's verse". The dumbening of America continues apace.

To add into this, youtube running more commercials then any network tv show I've ever seen. Watched a 15 minute video on music theory, it had 8 commercials, including beginning and ending commercials. Yeah some you can skip after 5 second but gawd damn. I will not be bullied into using their premium service and I'm sure that is what they are doing considering they they were insanely profitable before their current barrage of ads. And then "demonitizing" videos so YouTube can keep all the ad revenue and the content creator gets none is complete ********.
