Summer 2015: FIBA games of Utah Jazz players

I'm thinking Pleiss is too soft and skinny for the NBA. I don't know how much you can do in teh NBA when you are 7'2 but don't block shots or have enough girth to defend the post.

I'm thinking Withey > Pleiss.

I agree.

... now are you going to disagree now that I've agreed with you????

Somebody forgot to tell Germany after the first five minutes that you still have to continue to play after that. It was a pretty good five minutes though.

And it started so promising. Schröder made a huge step forward again this summer. He'll push Teague pretty hard.

Pleiss with a nice tip. Then on the other end a few minutes later just watches Parker make a layup. Didn't try to help at all. For Gobert or Favors, it would have been a blocked shot.

Biggest draft coup for Utah: trading back in for Gobert
Biggest mistake: trading up for Burke and not staying put and taking Schroder

I like the way Pleiss is working on the boards and he has nice touch on the tip ins, but his strength will be a problem in the league. Gets moved pretty easily. He had a great vertical challenge against Rudy and blocked his shot, but just fell down with the contact and Rudy easily laid it in after. I think he can be good back up once they work on his strength.

Nowitzki sucks!
Germany down 26 and still playing Schroder and Nowizki. Dirk has been a complete non-factor. Rudy back in and just got lost on defense. Easy jumper for Dirk.

Gobert not playing with much energy. Not contesting shots and just hanging around in the middle of the paint. Can't be effective from there. I think he realizes this is a friendly and his team is up by 23. Shouldn't even have him in there.

Made a FT, missed badly on the next. And now he's out. Appears he'll finish with 8/7/2. Not a very good 2nd half, though. One point and one rebound, I think.

Greece vs Turkey not so friendly. Greek freak just got slammed to the floor. Ok though. Done by 76er Aldemir.

After watching this game, I have to agree. Pleiss can roll to the basket and keeps the ball up. That's good. Defensively, he's Kanter-esque. Doesn't help, doesn't contest. Backs away when players shoot. And he's already 25, so probably little upside.
