Support Our Own

I noticed the tip thing when I donated, it looked like you could slide the scale to increase or decrease the amount. I didn’t try adjusting it and merely paid the 16.5 percent tip/fee where it was originally set.

Yup, it's literally like every other service that wants you to tip. Very easy to set to 0 if you just look a second to look

I want to thank everyone for their generosity. I've been part of this site since before the reset, for any old timers, and have always felt like this is a second family and when push comes to shove, you all proved me right in that assessment. I cannot thank you all enough for the kind words and support.

To fill everyone in, my wife has ovarian cancer and it's been a tough go for the past 4 months of her treatment. With that we are more than $15k in the hole after liquidating most everything we could to stay ahead of the medical bills, which is why our niece started this gofundme. We are hoping this will make a dent and so far out is definitely helping out. Most of all it helps our peace of mind, especially my wife who is really stressing about all this since she cannot work during her treatment. The last thing she needs to worry about is how we are going to pay for all this, she needs all her energy aimed at getting better, so this helps so much in this regard and we are eternally grateful for your support jazzfanzers. Thank you all.

Man, just sucks that on top of cancer you guys have to worry about finances. So sorry Log. You are a great dude and I'm sure your wife is cut from the same cloth. Please let her know we are thinking about her.

I will, thank you for the sentiment. And believe me, I married up in a big way! No way a lunk like me deserves a woman like that. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Done.

Regarding the tip, there was an automatic default tip on top of what I donated. It was 16.5% of what I donated. I saw it in the line items before I submitted and so I scrolled back up and changed the tip to $1. I suppose I could have done $0 but whatever.

Good luck, Log. We all love you and are pulling for your wife.

Thanks Miggs, much appreciated. The support from jazz fanz has been very humbling, and we cannot be more thankful for it. Even for me to just have a place and few people to reach out to and have a quick chat or post something here to get it off my chest, that is also very much appreciated.
