Anyone know what’s happened to lindsey graham? He’s completely changed in tune in just the last 6-12 months. Has he been... compromised? In some way? I can only think he’s being blackmailed. I can’t imagine anyone could be this dumb.

Lindsay Graham doesn't have a set core personality. He just takes on the flavor and tone of whoever he considers to be the most powerful man in the room. McCain is dead, so he's a Trump toady now.

It's up to the committee or the President to invoke the FBI, rather than Kavanaugh. The FBI also can't draw conclusions, but rather just take statements, like those already being submitted.

Yeah but at least the FBI could be an impartial third party that could verify certain facts for the committee couldn't they? I don't understand what he's afraid of. It just makes him look bad IMO.

Are we expected to believe she didn't answer that to anyone all these years? Not even her husband? That'd be the very first question I'd ask and I wouldn't let it go till I knew. Am I right in understanding this is what happened, she NEVER mentioned his name to her husband or anyone until these last few months? Why in the world? That'd be the chief reason I find this hard to believe.

I'd chose Mike Lee over this guy, but heck I find this Ford story hard to believe for this very reason. My wife related a story once of someone who was very crude to her at a food court, very first thing I wanted to know, was who it - what's his name? If it was attempted rape I woudn't have slept till I new the name and I'd sought justice right then. Can anyone honestly believe she'd withhold the name to even her husband? Out of what concern? I work in IT in healthcare and were not allowed to not make a hotline call when something like this is reported.

Didn’t kavanaugh for weeks deny drinking excessively? And now isn’t he admitting that he “liked beer” and drank excessively?

What else is he lying about?

I mean you can’t just keep lying about small things and then expect to have credibility for the big things, right?

Kavanaugh refusing to answer as to why he didn't want the FBI investigate is a bad look for him right now. All he's got is "I WANTED TO BE HERE THE NEXT DAY!!!"

Um,, ... doesn't sound like an innocent man to me to be honest.

He said early on that he welcomed an investigation by the FBI. When asked why he didn't demand one, he was stating that it was up to the committee to decide how to investigate. I see him as an upset father and husband, whether he did it or not, he will be labeled with it forever. If you were accused of this, how composed would you be in a hearing if you had not done what was alleged? I'd be pretty upset too. So I don't think that is a deciding factor either way. I don't think he sounds guilty, but that doesn't mean he is innocent.

Again, he said in his opening statement that he welcomes a full investigation from the committee, the FBI or whatever they see fit and he is confident that he will be vindicated.

Robert Acosta on twitter reports that Trump is loving this. He loves how kavanaugh is fighting back hard.

I flip flop. I thought trump might pull this nomination to save his party from being exposed to senate voting giving democrats a Fort Ticonderoga’s worth of ammo for campaigning for years.

But I think trump is going to go down with this ship.

Will senators Flake, Collins, and Merkowski still vote to confirm? Will any democrats defect and move to confirm? All it takes is for all democrats to vote no and two republicans to join them, right?

Yet another reason to abolish the nuclear option... it would force compromise. Right?

Thanks for the compliment but I'm being honest PC or not. You think the average person wouldn't ask for the identity?

this women wasn't raped, it was "attempted" see claims.. I work with a bunch of therapist and though it's not professional I guarantee you they'd ask for the name and like I said, even if they don't give a name a hotline call is required.
