Kind of a smug attitude there. From my experience those who get involved, supporting or volunteering on behalf of candidates or political parties are not sheep or pawns; more often than not they are thoughtful and committed citizens.

Exactly my point. They will bleed you dry and take out your soul in service to themselves in the end and do it under the guise of doing good things or worthwhile things. They need us, it used to be that they worked for us

Yes, because you would be wise to listen to me on this. Do you think even Dems have your best interest at heart? You do realize that if roles were reversed, they wouldn’t care, and push for the appointment.

Got it chief, thanks.

Like they pushed to keep Franken in the Senate?

Sure, both parties play power games. That doesn't mean they play them the same way.

why?

FACT - KAVANAUGH is INNOCENT. this is not your communist/socialist utopia like national socialist germany, cuba, china, venezuela or ussr. where you are guilty when the government officials think you are guilty

Is this idiot speak for Republican sheep? It is your opinion that Kavanaugh is innocent, just like the dem sheep think he’s guilty.

FACT no one but Kavanaugh and Ford will ever know unless one of them comes out and said they lied.

FACT - Kavanuagh lied in his testimony. Even if he did not attack Ford (he did), that's still disqualifying.

I feel very fortunate that nothing like that crap in the 2 posts above mine (log and joe) ever happened to me. That would suck bad. Sorry you guys had to go through that. I would go ape ****. Especially in joes situation. And then of course going ape **** would just make things worse and i would probably end up never seeing my kids again and probably be in prison.
Sounds like you did a good job of handling the situation. Both of you.
Fish, you are a seriously good dude. You should teach classes on how to behave on the internet. If more people handled themselves like you do we would be in a much better place. I think it's very cool that you almost always communicate civilly, even when your opinions are at odds with the people you're writing to.

And BTW, I was going insane while of that **** above went down. There were times that I might have reacted like Brett Kavanaugh when he was being questioned in the Ford hearing, but as much as possible I kept my anger hidden from those who could have used it to hurt me. At my lowest point I was experiencing horrifying schizophrenia because my brain was coming un-wired. Until you've experienced something like that you cannot imagine how terrifying it is. I was getting punished for good behavior while the woman and man who were actively working to destroy my life were getting rewarded for bad behavior. And my poor children were caught in the middle. It was super stressful and causing my mind to short-circuit out of control. I would have ended up living under a bridge if not for the support of amazing friends and family. It took such a toll. Both of my parents died during the course of this ordeal.

One of the most powerful coping mechanisms for me was repeating the mantra, "This too shall pass," over and over again when I was angry. My mom taught me to do that. She said that nothing ever lasts, whether it's good or bad. That is both fortunately, and unfortunately, true. And maybe that has a bit to do with my political outlook as well, though not for logical reasons. What I mean is that the Obama years were flat-out horrible to me, and the Trump years have been beyond spectacular (in both cases for reasons that have little if anything to do with the president).

My biggest shame and thing I'm least proud of from Jazzfanz was when Fish put me on ignore. It was that moment I realized, it was me. Lol

We may be able to fix the political system at some point, but I doubt it. The self-serving politicians work to ensure they keep power. And many very rea

Agreed. Fish is the shi-z.

The above is true. Thanks fish.

Also, like fish, I have never attempted to rape anyone. But I have had the very miserable experience of being accused of serious wrongdoing by a woman and having to clear my name. I think that those of you who say it's so important that we simply take women at their word are seriously underestimating how important the presumption of innocence has been to this country's legal code. As important as it is that women are empowered and that victims of rape are given the help they need, it would be a major step in the wrong direction for our country to assume that anyone is guilty of anything, simply because they have been accused.

This happened a few months ago. This lady is our neighbor.

I used to fear being falsely accused of something and I still do to a certain extent.

Lolol Sexual assault is so funny!

Apparently you are privy to info no one else knows. The thing is that no one knows for sure. There just isn’t evidence. I’m not saying he definitely didn’t do it, just I don’t know, and you don’t really know. Isn’t it also possible they’re both telling the truth? Maybe she got the name wrong. After 30+ years anything is possible.
