When anyone in the Jazz FO talks about draft prospects they always talk about drafting character guys.
They also seem to love the team chemistry at this time and don't think they want to even come close to screwing it up by taking a flier on someone that even might cause problems.
I don't think they will give a second look to anyone that got kicked off of 2 teams for violating team rules, no matter what those rules were.
Personally, I just don't see it. While he does do some things well, overall, he just seems like a big oaf. I'd rather have Dakari Johnson if he falls to 54 or even if we take him at 42.
I really think that the "Gobert Factor" is going to cause Upshaw to be way overdrafted. Teams are going to pay a premium price for a defensive minded big that "might" have the impact that Rudy does. He might very well be as talented as Hassan Whiteside, but he should slip into that 2nd round safe-to-take-a-risk zone like Whiteside did as well. His off-the-court issues give me serious pause. I'd much rather grab Jaiteh early in the 2nd round than Upshaw in the late 1st.
