Yet, social workers tend to be some of the most sympathetic and understanding people out there.
That's true.

From what I understand many of them are hella depressed too though (rightfully so)

Well, yeah, it's rough, like you stated. They have to see awful **** on regular basis. But I think social work attracts a different kind of people, thus the difference. I don't think the job makes cops bullies. I think bullies are attracted to police work, and the system they're in encourages bullying behavior.

The reason i started wearing whitey tighty underwear after that day was because one of my friends in the car had a bag of weed on him as well but didn't get busted because it was in his underwear. So that is where i started keeping my stash when driving.
You could’ve saved yourself $500 had you watched The Breakfast Club.

Social workers aren’t charged with enforcing anything, they often aren’t gatekeepers (some exceptions but when they are gatekeepers, it’s not in a direct sense), and detainment is never part of the equation, so people will naturally approach interactions with each much differently. But I can also point you to many jaded social workers lacking in empathy.

That's a good post.

I actually wrote a novel this year. It’s on Amazon. It’s about a US Army tactical psyop team operating in Latin America during the 1980s, my old unit.
What the? For reals? Send me a link in a pm. I'm almost done with my current book (upgrade by Blake Crouch) and don't know what I'm gonna read next.
So is it fiction or non fiction?
Is it available in Kindle format?

Yes available in both Kindle and paperback. Fiction. A US Army soldier in Panama facing financial problems decides to smuggle drugs to the U.S. He crosses paths with the Medellin cartel, a Panamanian street gang inspired by Santeria, and members of the Socialist Revolutionary League and things spin out of control. Will PM you link.

Man, David Hume's work seems a lot more diverse than I remember.
