Except Harrison Barnes isn't anywhere remotely worth giving the max to and doesn't provide us with anything we don't already have. I mean except the experience of bricking completely wide open shots at an alarming rate in the playoffs.

There's plenty messing from the thread. most importantly; Jazz fans telling me i'm wrong and that George Hill's got a chance to lead the squad to the championship.. Haven't seen one of those yet, so it's difficult for me to believe my petulant detractors in this thread even fully disagree...

you choose to be small minded and look at things thru the baby steps of a team, when you take a step back and look at the conference, the Jazz are no threat to the powers in the west.... (do you think otherwise?)

So naturally I'm asking myself if these win-now moves are timed correctly...

One of the things I've deduced for sure is that George Hill will certainly help the coaching staff and GM keep their jobs in the short term.............

So seeing that the Jazz are going after and paying for vets such as Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw rubs me the wrong way, I question the timing, it seems forced and unnatural... The Jazz at one point last year were the youngest team in the league and now the avg age has balooned up to like 26.. I can't help but think shouldn't they still be in full talent cultivation mode? Harrison Barnes would've fit right into that because at 24 and demanding a larger role he's still got plenty of room for improvement.


Those besmirching Barnes will look foolish in the coming years. Who cares what the Mavs record is they've got a peice that was cultivated for them.. and will hope to add another serious one in the draft. They just won championship and so did Barnes.

Never say never. The Heat were dead ringers to win in 2011.. A darkhorse named the Dallas Mavericks took them out.
 
I can't believe we're even talking about winning a championship.
 
Cavs and W's aren't invincible. Neither team is deep. All it takes is an injury to a key player: and that doesn't necessarily have to mean Lebron or Curry.
