The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

Yep that's me as well. People think I'm a Democrat or a lefty just because I hate trump/maga.
I'm anti immigration. I have guns and grew up hunting everything and very religious. Pro police. (I'm the guy who will answer a cops questions when I get pulled over even though everyone says I shouldn't) I drive a gas guzzler
About the only thing I can really think of that I lean left on policy wise is pro choice. And even with that one I'm anti abortion.... Just pro choice.

I never voted for a Democrat in any election local or nationally prior to trump running for office.

I don't ever watch CNN or any news network actually. I listen to KSL 1160 (I think they are conservative) for my news and go to Yahoo.

I think Biden sucks and both my wife and I had him way at the bottom of our lists in the 2020 democratic primaries.

I guess my political home is simply trump hater. Never trump. Which makes complete sense to me. I can't understand in any way at all how anyone could actually want him to be president. I can kind of understand someone who is a hardcore Republican who votes for Trump just because they can't ever vote for the Democratic. Like they reluctantly vote for Trump. I can understand that. But people who actually want him to be president more than all other Republicans? I just can't understand

Then why do you never preach any conservative ideas? If I'm wrong then I apologize but I don't see it. I don't mean that rudely either, you can still not like Trump and be openly conservative on your thinking. You always tend to side with Biden on most things and stay pretty silent when us moderate to right posters bring up Biden. If you're conservative one would think that you would spend more time on what's happening under him than what's happening on the with some Orange man you don't even like. Things like the dumb a* saying his uncle was eaten by cannibals...Lol that is the president of the United States... You should be right there calling his *** out but you're too busy hating Trump. It makes no sense to me.

As far as Trump... I remember being in this very forum arguing with you guys about how many good things he did daily. Literally daily I was here talking good things he was doing... Daily .. Something you guys hardly ever do with Biden because you literally cant. He's absolutely terrible. I agree with Biden on marijuana and his attack on airlines and ticket selling sites in sheer robbery. Besides that? How has he helped me? I/we pay more for gas, food, my personal electricity bill is up $40+, natural gas up, interest rates, literally everything is more expensive. If you all could only see the weekly(edit bi-weekly) price changes we do. I have to devote entire shifts to mark up prices. For example paint today went up another $1. A $28 can of Behr paint is now $45...$46 after today. Water Heaters, electrical wire, fertilizer, lumber, a snowblower I bought 4 years ago for $800 is now $1200... For a bottom of the line(but still really goo)Craftsman 2 stage. Everything is getting unaffordable.

Trump is a better president than Biden plain and simple. I dont need a friend to cuddle me, I need a guy who keeps us out of wars, signs peace treaties, and runs a good economy.

I love this idea that Trump is clever despite all evidence to the contrary.

He never beat the market with all the money daddy gave him and yet he's supposed to be a brilliant business man.

He's supposed to be a world class deal maker but the best deals he ever made was stiffing people and declaring bankruptcy.

He's a media wiz yet he only gets less and less likable and less support the more he opens his mouth.

He loves America so much yet he's been the most destructive force in the U.S. over the last several years.

2+2 clearly equals 5
This is a major factor going into this fall. A decent segment of the population has completely memory holed the disastrous economy of 2020, the leadership that told people that the “China Virus” would magically go away by Easter, and was everyday in our faces pissing us off. I think the closer we get to the fall and the more attention Trump gets, the better off Biden and the Dems will be. Trump is deteriorating, his rhetoric is becoming worse, his vision for America is too dark and extreme, and I think he’ll remind enough people this summer why they voted for Biden in 20 and why they’ll vote for him again this fall.

A generation of Americans seem to think that tariffs against China, counter majoritarian, blatantly racist and corrupt, pro authoritarianism with a theocratic edge, is conservative. Pretty funny for those of us who either grew up under
Just curious, those claiming to have NOT KNOWN that using the word, “boy” as a white person to a black person wasn’t racist, could you please:

A. Tell me where you’re from (city and state). Just curious because I wonder how many urban areas in Utah are ignorant of this? Or if it’s isolated to the rural areas where the population is homogeneous?
B. Tell me what books you’ve read about slavery and social justice.

Because, I’ll be honest, I didn’t think it was possible to live in America in 2019 and not know that calling a black person a “boy” was racist. The connection of whites demeaning blacks as “boys” has a long and extensive history going from slavery to Jim Crow to even President Obama. I can’t remember who it was but early in his career a white congressman referee to Obama as “boy” and it caused outrage among the African American community.

For those looking for some good reads:

* 12 Years a Slave ion story. Far better than the movie and the movie was outstanding)
* To Kill a Mockingbird (classic)
* Black Like Me (written in the 1950s by a white journalist who made his skin dark and experienced life in the Deep South as a black man)
* White Rage (gives you a completely different perspective on Kaepernick and BLM)
* The New Jim Crow (change your views on the war on drugs)
* Just Mercy (my favorite, change your views on capital punishment)
Lol you are the biggest racist here. By your own words. I can't imagine saying something is racist then suddenly loving it like you. Pure hypocrisy and double standard.

Thriller is ok with racism as long as it's his guy. I guarantee you that I can find more racist quotes from Biden than you can Trump. I already exposed that you're ok with racism and you're a hypocrite... Could you please answer your own question please? "A)Tell me where you’re from (city and state). Just curious because I wonder how many urban areas in Utah are ignorant of this? Or if it’s isolated to the rural areas where the population is homogeneous?' and "B, Tell me what books you’ve read about slavery and social justice." @fishonjazz care to chime in?

Biden Once Said Obama Was a Black Man Who Was 'Articulate and Bright and Clean'?

"I mean, you got the first sort of mainstream African-American." An unidentified reporter responded, "Yeah." Biden continued, "... who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

I agree with below, I've noticed you pretty silent while calling others racist like it's candy and fun. I couldn't imagine Trump supporters openly hating and attacking Jews like your party is doing. Shutting down schools over Jew hatred.....That is your party.... YOURS.... Silence though huh Thriller? Because racism is nothing more than a joke to you. Calling black people boy is bad one second then the next you openly love a guy that does it. It's nothing more than a means to use others suffering from your party and it's terrible history to blame others. You should research how the Democrat party was made while pointing at others. It's disgusting the **** your party did.

“Jewish students across America are experiencing the worst attacks on their rights, dignity and safety in my lifetime,” Schwimmer began his caption. “While some of the protests are peaceful, the atmosphere is one of pervasive harassment, intimidation, segregation, hate speech, threats & acts of real violence.”

“If this were any other minority group the response would have been immediate outrage and action. And yet this antisemitism grows, spreading from middle school to high school to college campuses nationwide … Please show your support for your Jewish neighbors, friends and colleagues,” he added. “Silence is complicity.”

Sterling, the chief operating officer for the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, is part of an effort begun after the last presidential election that seeks to bring together Republican officials who are willing to defend the country's election systems and the people who run them. They want officials to reinforce the message that elections are secure and accurate, an approach they say is especially important as the country heads toward another divisive presidential contest.

Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, continues to sow doubts about the last presidential election and is warning his followers — without citing any evidence — that Democrats will try to cheat in the upcoming one.
This past week, during a campaign rally in Michigan, Trump repeated his false claim that Democrats rigged the 2020 election. “But we’re not going to allow them to rig the presidential election,” he said.

Just 22% of Republicans expressed high confidence that votes will be counted accurately in November, according to an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll last year.

“It’s an obligation on Republicans' part to stand up for the defense of our system because our party -- there’s some blame for where we stand right now,” said Kentucky's secretary of state, Michael Adams, who is part of the group and won reelection last year. “But it’s also strategically wise for Republicans to say, ‘Hey Republicans, you can trust this. Don’t stay at home.’"

“It’s about democratic principles at a higher level –- what does it mean to be a conservative who believes in democracy, the rule of law?" said Matt Germer, director of governance for the R Street Institute and a lead organizer of the effort.

“You can be a Republican and you can believe in all the Republican ideas without having to say the election was stolen,” Germer said.

Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson, a Republican who is the state’s top election official and has been participating in the group's discussions, said avoiding criticism of other states and vouching for the legitimacy of election procedures is important for another reason: It can help reduce the threats and harassment directed toward election workers.

A recent survey by the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University's Law School found that nearly 40% of local election officials had experienced such abuse. It's caused many to leave their jobs. Of 29 clerks in Utah, Henderson said 20 are new since 2020 and nine have never overseen an election.

“It’s one thing to suggest that someone could do something better. It’s another thing to impugn their integrity, their character, accuse them of cheating, accuse them of nefarious things that don’t happen,” Henderson said. “It’s exhausting.”

You’re not alone. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney aren’t liberals and they’ve both gone on record to say they’re voting for Biden this fall. One doesn’t have to love Biden to vote against Trump. Many Educated conservatives understand this and it’s caused them to re-evaluate their own party. I think what awaits to be seen is if all the low info angry and paranoid zombies Trump has brought into the party actually turn out regularly. Since 2018 the answer has been “No.” well educated, moderate, and engaged voters have decidedly voted for Democrats. Women, the burbs, and college educated voters that were Bush and Romney voters have been put off by Trump’s vulgarity and MAGA’s extremism. No thinking person wants to be in a political party with zombies like some posters here who worship Trump’s bowel movements. we’ll see in 2024 how far the parties have reconfigured.

Just look at how Governor Cox (a pretty conservative gov in his own right) was treated by his party’s caucus the other weekend. The party is crazy. Too extreme!

1:30-3:30 “maybe you hate that I just don’t hate enough”

That’s MAGA right there. No amount of judges or legislative wins will ever satisfy low info voters who “feel” angry (because they’re bored as **** and want to attack fellow Americans)

SUPREME COURT REVERSES COLORADO 14TH AMENDMENT DECISION IN UNANIMOUS 9-0 VICTORY FOR TRUMP

The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that former President Donald Trump could not be removed from the ballot in Colorado or any other state. It was a sweeping and historic ruling that brushed aside a lawsuit claiming that he disqualified himself from office because of his actions on January 6, 2021.

In a repudiation of the notion that Trump’s actions left him ineligible under the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban,” a unanimous court ruled that an individual state could not dump the former president from the ballot.

Bush and Cheney are war criminals. We ever find those WMD's they promised? Causing a needless war that lasted 20 years that Trump got us out of? You hate Putin but love George Bush and Cheney's for doing the same thing Putin is doing?! Is there anything that you honestly believe? Crazy thing is... I swear on my Grandmas grave that I used to survey land and I surveyed for a cousin of Mitt that literally got kicked out of the family for being gay. It was a major land dispute over literal inches. Dude got completely disowned.

That's the part of the Republican party I strongly dislike. You can love that all you want but I wont.

Hadn't seen that video. Good stuff
He should have just walked up to the mic and said, isn't trump great? I sure do love trump. And then basked in the cheers that would surely follow

Speaking of Democrats love of Racism. Biden hires thousands of agents to target minorities. Could you imagine Trump doing this? Democrats would hate him.

IRS acts to address wide disparity in audit rates between Black taxpayers and other filers

A study from January 2023 involving university researchers and the Treasury Department found that IRS data-driven algorithms selected Black taxpayers for auditing at up to 4.7 times the rate of non-Black taxpayers. The study said the IRS disproportionately audited people who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, which is aimed at low- to moderate-income workers and families: While Black taxpayers accounted for 21% of the claims for that break, they were the focus of 43% of the audits concerning the credit.

Democrats while calling others racist are openly funding the Jew hatred rampant across our country. You see it here.... The Christian hate, Jew hate, and sheer racism of calling black people boy... They don't even hide it, they just blame Trump. Politico is left leaning before people want to childishly lie about AR15's with penises and MAGA6969.

Pro-Palestinian protesters are backed by a surprising source: Biden’s biggest donors

President Joe Biden has been dogged for months by pro-Palestinian protesters calling him “Genocide Joe” — but some of the groups behind the demonstrations receive financial backing from philanthropists pushing hard for his reelection.

The donors include some of the biggest names in Democratic circles: Soros, Rockefeller and Pritzker, according to a POLITICO analysis.

Of course Thriller accuses others of not reading articles then loves this... This is from YOUR article... Trump is absolutely dominating in all important areas... "F* the poors" right Fish? I think a large enough segment of the population has memory holed how stupid Biden is...................................................................................................................................................... Stupid to me would be not reading your own article. "Digital literacy is sorely lacking these days", yeah it suuuure is...

Biden leads in baby murder and health care which I agree was one of Trumps biggest weaknesses though I don't see what Biden has done that's any better.

This is a good reminder about the threat to our democracy that will define this fall:

In the interview, Trump once again promised to pardon the January 6 insurrectionists; once again, he vowed to use the Justice Department as his personal legal hit squad. He said he will prosecute Joe Biden, deport millions of people, and allow states with newly strict abortion regulations to monitor pregnant women. He will kneecap NATO and throw Ukraine to the Russians.

Trump told Time that he thinks people actually like it when he sounds like a dictator, and he’s not entirely wrong: As I’ve noted, much of his base loves talk of “vermin” and the idea of exacting revenge on other Americans. But there are two other important reasons that many people are not taking Trump seriously enough—and that Biden, a long-serving American politician, is struggling in the polls with an often incoherent would-be autocrat.

One problem has been around as long as the republic: Americans don’t pay attention to politics, and when they do, they frequently blame the current president for whatever is going wrong in their lives. For most people, economic cause and effect is mostly notional; if gas prices are high today, or if someone is still not working despite low unemployment rates, it’s because of the guy at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Combine this with the peculiar amnesia that helps people forget how many Americans needlessly died of COVID while Trump talked about injecting bleach, and you have a population that fondly remembers how good they had it during a terrifying pandemic.

Americans had a hard time conceiving of a nuclear war until 1983, when ABC showed the made-for-television movie The Day After. The movie (as I wrote here) made an impact not because anyone thought a nuclear exchange would be a walk in the park but because no one could really get their head around what would happen if one took place. (That’s despite how thoroughly fears of nuclear war had otherwise permeated the culture.) The movie includes a stomach-churning scene of people watching a football game at a stadium, looking up to see the contrails of American missiles in the sky, and realizing that the world as they’ve known it would last for another 30 minutes at most. This was not Dr. Strangelove; it was a moment people could see happening to themselves.

We just don’t have a similar conceptualization for the end of democracy in America. I have not seen the film Civil War, but I’m not worried about another civil war—at least not the kind we had before. Rather, I’m worried about the gray fog of authoritarianism settling, in patches and pieces, across the United States. In 2021, my colleague George Packer tried to present a realistic scenario of democratic collapse; the next year, I wrote about what such a process might look like. But looking back, I see the limits of my imagination.

I did not, for example, think it possible that state troopers would stop women who might try to leave their state to seek an abortion. In his concurrence with the Dobbs v. Jackson decision that threw out Roe v. Wade, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh suggested that such travel bans on pregnant women might be unconstitutional, and no state has tried to enact one—yet. But I now view this as only one of many inhuman outrages that could come to pass if the federal government is overtaken by Trump and his authoritarian cronies and the state courts feel free, with Trump’s blessing, to ignore the Constitution. I can imagine state legislatures passing repressive laws and expelling any representatives who oppose them. And I can easily see the former president and right-wing governors attempting to use the U.S. military and the National Guard as their personal muscle.

Is this really what you want? I suspect that the closer we get to the election and the more people are paying attention and the more Trump talks, the more the electorate will be reminded of the stupidity, chaos, racism, sexism, and all around extreme authoritarianism that embodies Trump and the GOP. Remember, elections have consequences. So choose wisely, this election might be our last free and fair one if republicans get their way.

Meanwhile a big faction of Democrats are marching in the street spewing Jew hatred... Funded by Bidens biggest donors. Attacking WW1 monuments and other monuments in NYC . All while Bidens hate filled constituents openly hate mock and attack Christianity right in front of our faces and are proud of it. It's just weird how a big faction of Democrats historically have to cover their faces because they know how evil this is. Their grandparents, the KKK, especially. Again it's insulting as their entire party was founded off of white supremacy. Literally... Then these little anti-Christian pro hate people point the finger at Trump and people like me who do nothing but go to work, golf, and pay bills. You all see where Pro-Hamas people that a big faction of Democrats are aligning with went to the Holocaust memorial and accosted survivors? This is no different than what a big faction of Democrats are doing on our streets as the push their mental illness addiction of Trump on others. We now know why they want our guns... I mean in this very forum posters have said they want to put Trump supporters up against a wall and kill them. Many here thought that was hilarious. They aren't even hiding it.

In Bidens America... We can't even go to College graduations in fear of a antisemitism yet it's faction of uneducated and Christian and Jew hating voters are claiming Trump and me are the threat.... I have yet to see Trump supporters attacking Jews and closing schools. The threat to Democracy is right in front of our faces. Certain groups can't even go to school or hold graduations in Democrats America. That is insane.... I never thought I'd see the day and always wondered how Nazi Germany happened but there are some shades of it like Brown Shirts showing up to schools funded by George Soros to shut them down in sheer intimidation.

They have the audacity to blame Trump.

Could you imagine if MTG said this? It would be plastered here for months. But nope it wasn't MTG so Democrats stay silent. They openly support their career racist Biden so it's not surprising they only care when MTG says stupid ****. I mean, between Biden's openly racist comments and hers it's borderline insulting that people can point at Trump while staying silent when their people say blatantly racist things or call black people boy.
