Tom Cotton, Kari Lake show how much Trump, Republicans have normalized violent rhetoric

Republicans Kari Lake and Sen. Tom Cotton both spouted outrageous violent rhetoric this week, and nobody seems to care. Americans deserve better.

One high-profile Republican, a sitting U.S. senator, suggested peaceful protesters should be thrown off bridges.

Another high-profile Republican, often mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate, told supporters to “strap on a Glock” to prepare for this year’s presidential election.

It would be nice to report that each of these public figures, Sen. Tom Cotton and U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake, respectively, faced bipartisan condemnation for their violent rhetoric. It would be reasonable, in a normal society, to assume such comments would bring a swift end to their political careers.

That’s where we should be as a nation – unwilling to put up with bellicose garbage babbled by opportunistic loons.

I’d like to congratulate Donald Trump on the speed with which he’s turned the Republican Party into something resembling an extortion racket.

The Republican Party is now nothing but a Donald Trump piggy bank
He’s got his daughter-in-law Lara Trump in place at the top of the RNC pecking order, and she didn’t hold back detailing the committee’s singular focus: “Every single penny will go to the No. 1 and the only job of the RNC – that is electing Donald J. Trump as president of the United States and saving this country.”

In an April 15 letter, Trump’s campaign notified all Republican candidates that if they use the former president’s name, image or likeness on any campaign advertisements, they need to deliver at least 5% of the money they raise back to the aforementioned criminal defendant.

Ya sadly at this point we shouldn't let our kids be in the entertainment industry, scouts, church, school, the neighbors house, their uncles or aunts house, etc etc.

Seems like there are sickos everywhere. Sucks to be a parent right now. I won't let my kid sleep over at anyone's house if I'm not there. And that sucks. I loved sleepovers when I was a kid and never had anything bad happen to me.

But I'm terrified of letting my daughter out of my sight. Even just to walk to her friends house down the street in the middle of the day.

I volunteer at her elementary school and there is a girl in her class (2nd grade) who had a vape at school this year. Same girl has a cell phone and takes selfies of herself posing in ways that alarm me (kissing faces and whatnot) and I gave her a little grief about it and advised her that it's something she shouldn't be doing and she replied "its just for my Snapchat"
Smh. Not a lot of kids her age have cell phone but a few do (which is too many imo) and a ton of them have smart watches that can take pictures and text and stuff.

Technology sucks. I'm gonna hold out as long as possible on letting my daughter get a phone or watch or whatever

I personally don't find anything funny about child rape. Do you? Be honest... do you really think child rape is funny? Can you explain what's funny about that? I'll wait...

And this the same **** he has done to Trump. Taking blatant comments out of context. Right? Like fish posting a blatantly edited video of Trump saying bloodbath and there are good people.

If you want to make pedophilia a laughing matter that's on you. I'm not laughing. You can, you think raping children is hilarious, but that's you. Same side or not. Crying about me using DIRECT QUOTES....

Ya to be clear I have plenty of character flaws but raping children isn't actually one of them. Quite the contrary. Anyone who knows me knows how much I care about the well being of children and knows how good I am with them. My wife always tells me that I should have had a career of some kind that involves helping children.
I find that jazzy/steak brings out the worst in people. I never would have even made any of those posts if I would have just ignored him. Which is why I almost always do ignore him. He brings out the worst in me. (and others. Pretty sure he is the reason gameface doesn't post here anymore)
Have noticed one brow has pretty much stopped posting here. Wouldn't be surprised if jazz/steak played a role in that as well. I have taken extended breaks from jazzfanz after interactions with him myself.


A discussion with him is never a good idea, as I have learned. I have a goal to never have another discussion with him again.

Gameface(I could go off) has underlying problems who threatened to kill Trump, wished a painful death on me, and literally said I should be in jail for murder. You liked all of those post fish.

But explain why child rape is funny. It's a simple question.

I’m not crying about it or upset about it. I get fired up when the left thinks having books that talk and show images about rape or sex and think it’s ok to keep them in elementary school libraries. You know real things that are happening.

Do I think Fish, Thriller or Sardines are raping children at home? No. I honestly don’t think those comments were even funny. But I understand why the said them.

There is a ton you can debate with these guys about their views; it’s just not productive when you take things out of context.
