I don’t think it’s “bad” to wish death on evil people. I think it’s human, and perfectly understandable. I wish someone had killed Hitler before he invaded Poland. I doubt I’d be saddened if someone shot Putin. Might even celebrate. On the other hand, there’s the “butterfly effect”: “The idea that something small, like getting coffee, can have much larger effects, such as altering your career is called the butterfly effect. The butterfly effect rests on the notion that the world is deeply interconnected, such that one small occurrence can influence a much larger complex system”.
In other words, alter one thing, everything changes, and maybe killing Putin actually makes the world situation far worse. So there’s that.
The world would be better off without Donald Trump. Not sure that would be the case if he actually went out with a bang, though.
