The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

Great response. Trump didn't change when he got into office. The nation saw what his ethics, relationships and governing style daily what it is all about and then voted him out.

You can see this on the left as well. Take the "don't say gay" (sound bite) bill in Florida, which people didn't dig into the bill. Once they did, it was a popular bill. This is used all over politics and it is pretty scary that people make their decisions off of soundbites.
Yea notice I said "average citizen" and not "average republican".

Kinda answered your own question. I would add his fraudulent university, literally zero experience or qualifications, using charity fraudulently,
This was vetted and he was still elected, doesn't make him unfit.
getting impeached twice,
This was after he was elected and then voted out
encouraging of a riot at the white house in order to overturn an election,
Once again, after he was elected and voted out.
misappropriation of funds for his border wall,
Are you talking about a private border wall of Trump supporters?
misappropriation of funds for the stop the steal campaign,
After the election, On par with his business history. If he runs, this will be vetted.
asking military if we can simply shoot protesters,
Don't know the context or real details...just one person said this (Mark Esper) Does sending a drone to kill a family make the current president unfit?
pardoning his friends who get convicted,
After he was elected, was then voted out.
firing anyone who disagrees with him,
Doesn't make someone unfit
hiring unqualified family members for government positions,
Doesn't make someone unfit, no different in hiring friends.
sleeping with a porn star as a few more reasons.
This was vetted and he was still elected

Why do you conclude this?

No push back after the fake soundbite news, 67% of parents approve. You might not like it, but this is the same fight Youngkin fought. Also pro parents means school choice. In Florida, a family of 4 making under a $100k, can go to private schools of their choice.

You keep saying after he was elected. Why does that matter for 2024? He is thinking of running again.
We should have all saw be was unfit back in 2016 (most of the country did) but now we have even more evidence for 2024.

Also, something being vetted doesn't make him fit. Who did the vetting? I think that creating fake universities and using charities for fraud and being convicted in court makes someone unfit. I don't do the vetting though. I guess he could murder someone and if he was vetted and still ran then murder would be ok too right?

That is my point, now he has history of being a president. In 2024, his history gets to be vetted in it the primary and general election. If he succeeds, then he was voted in to be fit for president.

1) From that same article: "No poll is dispositive, and the surveys aren’t unanimous. Ipsos asked Americans in mid-March if they agreed with barring “classroom lessons about sexual orientation or gender identity in elementary school.” It found 62% opposed."
2) As long as the private schools are held to the same standards and responsibilities as public schools (same curriculum, accepting every student regardless of disability, etc.), I have no objection to school choice. You'll find it implemented in some fashion in places like NYC, which is not exactly conservative.
2) "Parental Rights in Education" is facing opposition and protests:

So basically there is no such thing as unfit to be president. Could kill a bunch of children and rape Jesus but as long as he is vetted and voted for them he is fit.
Gotcha.
So your original question of what makes someone unfit to be president was a stupid question that can not be answered.

Which parents does DeSantis support? “Pro Parents” assumes that parents are a monolith. Think if parents in a district wanted more of an emphasis on Slavery and Civil Rights, DeSantis would support their wishes with the same gusto as parents who are anti-CRT?

It’s also interesting how some people view DeSantis’s political harassment of teachers, doctors, and Disney as a positive. Whatever happened to the conservative belief of small government and leaving ideas to sink or swim in the marketplace of ideas? Instead, punishing companies for speaking out seems big government and reactionary, not conservative.

To be fair, most of the people I have heard express continuing support of Trump say it is because they value policies over character. I think many Republican voters who did not vote for Trump did so not because they were disappointed with his policies but because his behavior was just too much for them to ignore.

Strong southern boarder is important to them.

Anti-Muslim policies and rhetoric is important to them.

Ultra-conservative Supreme Court justices is important to them.

Lower taxes (regardless of them disproportionally helping the very wealthy) is important to them.

Cutting restrictions in general but especially environmental regulations that they believe cost jobs is important to them.

Last but certainly not least, owning the libs is important to them.

Many were perfectly happy with Trump's performance and/or effort on those issues. Some felt that despite that Trump simply isn't fit for office (because he very clearly isn't) so they didn't vote for him in 2020. Independent voters in particular, who are less passionate about the above in general, couldn't vote to re-elect him. Anti-Trump voters who might not even care about politics at all came out specifically to vote against Trump because they absolutely can't believe he was elected President in 2016 and were not going to stand by and possibly let that happen again.
I already posted what most MAGA care about, triggering the libs. It’s not about policy, it’s about identity and negative partisanship.

If a candidate gets vetted and and voted in by our election process, then yes they are fit. Just because you don't like the candidate and scream it every day like thriller does, doesn't make him unfit. The right screams everyday about how mentally unfit Biden is, todays video is of him forgetting that he already shook Chuck Schumers hand 5 seconds before. Yesterday it was video of Biden unable to put on his jacket. Does that make him unfit to be president?
When Trump for his second term, he then was voted out, people had enough and thought he was unfit for a second term. If he runs again and is elected for a second time, then the people would found him fit to be president again.

Also it doesn't ask about K-3 specifically, but Elementary School...grades that go up to 6th.
When does Sex Ed get taught in school? 70% of the time in 5th or 6th grade.
Then you provide a poll that even states an oversample among LGBTQ respondents...

This poll is not apples to apple with the poll I provided:

Screen Shot 2022-08-09 at 6.34.01 PM.png

When Americans actually are provided the correct language of the bill, they support it. Even Democratic Voters 55%-29% Even people who know someone who is LGBTQ.

Why are democrats fighting against school choice?

Seems like the Democrats are not Pro-parent but PRO-Teachers Union

2) "Parental Rights in Education" is facing opposition and protests:
So School boards, Attorney Generals, and LGBTQ students are pushing to talk to K-3 graders about sex and gender. Please have Biden run on that. You want to see Desantis unbeatable? Run on teaching sex and gender to k-3, and teachers unions over parents. That sounds like a winning strategy.

So like i said, your question was incredibly stupid. You asked why anyone thinks trump is unfit for president. You get answered. Then proceed to say that literally everyone is fit for president. What makes a president fit in your opinion apparently is anyone who is vetted and elected.
That isnt what makes someone fit to be president imo. Its all a matter of opinion. I dont think biden or trump are fit to be president.

Wow, he cares about what parents care about. Not School boards or Teacher unions. "The bill will require school districts convening for the purpose of selecting instructional materials, to notice the meetings and have them open to the public. The school districts must also provide access to all materials at least 20 days prior to the school board taking official action on instructional materials."

12 year term limit on elected school board members

Financial Literacy

Got rid of FSA and created a student progress method

Thriller, maybe parents care more about Transparency, term limits, financial literacy, against standardized test to and focus on Math, Science and Literature; Not focusing on sex and gender for K-3 or CRT.

Then you provide a poll that even states an oversample among LGBTQ respondents...
I wasn't aware I represented the Wall Street Journal. As I pointed out, in the very article you offered, they offered that as a contrasting survey.

This poll is not apples to apple with the poll I provided:
Of course not. No two polls will ever be apples-to-apples; there are always differences in location, methodology, resources, questions, etc.

When Americans actually are provided the correct language of the bill, they support it. Even Democratic Voters 55%-29% Even people who know someone who is LGBTQ.
In one poll. If you believe that this one poll settles that this is a popular law, that answers my original question. Thank you.

Why are democrats fighting against school choice?
Some are, some aren't; as your news article clearly said, they are divided on the issue.

Seems like the Democrats are not Pro-parent but PRO-Teachers Union
That was one person's opinion (you did notice that was on the opinion page, right?).

So School boards, Attorney Generals, and LGBTQ students are pushing to talk to K-3 graders about sex and gender. Please have Biden run on that.
Please have your nominee run on removing all references to sexual orientation and gender from classrooms. You'll have to remove any book that refers to some kids as boys and others as girls. Or, contrastingly, please have them run on the notion that kids can't possibly understand that someone might have two dads/two moms.

Of course, your candidates won't; that would be too honest. Instead, they'll talk about "groomers" and try to link everything to pedophilia. Fear instead of honesty and respect. I understand that I'm not describing you personally, but that's what this law is based upon.

You want to see Desantis unbeatable? Run on teaching sex and gender to k-3, and teachers unions over parents. That sounds like a winning strategy.
We have always had sex and gender in at all levels of schooling. As long as you have separate restrooms for boys and girls, you have sex and gender.

Florida is a right to work state.

I wish people did more than just regurgitate “anti union” talking pts from Chris Rufo and Dennis Prager.

Most of the so-called perpetrators of the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping plot are getting acquittals due to it becoming clear that without the FBI doing all of the planning that there was no kidnapping plot.

Most, but not all. It only takes 2 to plot.
