I made a joke about appointing hunter to investigate the cocaine mystery in the white house a couple weeks ago, but just as brazenly they appoint Weiss as special counsel to investigate Hunter. Third world stuff- Shameless.

Hasn't Hunter been investigated for a while now by hyper partisan (republican) house reps? Is that also third world stuff?

The Trump-appointed US attorney who is investigating Hunter Biden has been given special counsel status after plea talks between the Justice Department and the president’s son fell apart. Trump appointed huh? Weaponization of the justice department against democrats!!!

The probe appeared to reach its conclusion when a plea deal was announced in June. In a two-pronged agreement, Hunter Biden planned to plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and prosecutors would drop a separate felony gun charge in two years if he stayed out of legal trouble and passed a drug test. (seems reasonable. Things like this happen all the time in court when a defendent pleads guilty) Federal prosecutors also agreed to recommend probation, and no jail time, for Hunter Biden.
But then the judge intervened: But at a stunning three-hour court hearing last month, the deal nearly collapsed under scrutiny from the federal judge overseeing the case. District Judge Maryellen Noreika said the intertwined deals to resolve the tax and gun charges were “confusing,” “not straightforward,” “atypical” and “unprecedented.” At the end of that hearing, she ordered the Justice Department and Hunter Biden’s lawyers to file additional legal briefs defending the constitutionality of the agreement.

The White House and Hunter Biden’s legal team were not informed beforehand of the decision to appoint a special counsel, according to a senior Justice Department official.

Sounds like another witch hunt ;)

Trump is guilty based on very publicly available information. Like it's a windmill 360 flip reverse between the legs off the backboard one ball in each hand double slam dunk.

So what's your problem with him being held accountable? Why would that upset you in the slightest?

If his party isn't going to do it someone has to.

I'm a little tired of Trump opposition being called partisan.

Trump is a seditious traitor and common criminal. What party supports that? I don't think average Republican voters support that and I don't think real Republicans support that. They are being silenced because the Trump cult has infested their party and they don't want to get primaried, so they stay silent and don't act. It's cowardly and shameful, but understandable. So since they've been made impotent Democratic politicians are forced to go it alone without active support from Republicans. That's not partisanship. That's the pursuit of justice in the face of blatant criminality.

Weiss is the one that crafted the "unprecedented" plea deal that fell apart when the judge found out he is still being investigated and Hunter found out it didn't include eternal immunity.

Because I would like an actual investigation- its not about whether Hunter is guilty because he is, It's about whether investigating Hunter implicates the President of the United States of America.

They HAVE investigated it, they just didn't find what you convinced yourself without evidence was true.

Stop ****ing deflecting! What upsets you about Trump being prosecuted for obvious crimes? Can you answer that simple question? You'll get bonus points from me if you can do it without mentioning Biden. But if you must, as long as you actually answer the question, go ahead and mention Biden.
