The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

That's true. Loan relief is BS to begin with. You sign up for a loan that's your problem.
I would agree if it weren't an affront that tuition is so ridiculously high to begin with. We are well down the list of developed nations in advanced education, and of course in education in general. The only problem I have with the tuition reimbursement program, beyond it being truly skewed to those who really don't need it, is that the universities that are running like for-profit ventures when they should be NFPs, like state universities, didn't have to foot the bill. They should have. Yet another system that american capitalism has nearly irreparably damaged.

I agree, tuition has gone through the roof but it's a choice for people. I believe if you sign up for a loan that's on you.

Problem is that kids are told time and time again the only way to advance socioeconomically is to get a degree and those degrees are in the high tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands. There is being responsible for your actions, then there's being sold a bill of goods under fraudulent circumstances. I'm not going to begrudge a little help for people who may need it after being lied to time and time again.

People make poor financial decisions all the time. If signing for a loan ends up being a poor financial decision, oh well, that's on you. If there is legitimate fraud that's a different story.
