These are the musings of a friend who is more up on chemtrails than I am. You may learn something here that addresses this conspiracy theory. Or not, you’re entitled to your own beliefs.

“Those of us that understand that contrails are created by ice crystal forming from moist exhaust from the jets at high attitude and temps -50° or below, know what they are. They are not chemical trails like conspiracy theories like to claim. That has been debunked many times. It’s usually considered a cirrus homogenitus (human-made cirrus cloud).

As the cloud spreads out, upper level winds can spin it to look like the picture. With enough contrasting winds they can be spun to like a helix.

While not some nefarious spreading of chemicals, but just a reaction of moisture and cold air, there are concerns that they are contributing to global warming as the help trap heat”.

No planes from Green will have reached that attitude and still be over RI. It takes about 20 minutes to reach that altitude which puts them 160 to 200 miles away. Flights from Boston will reach that altitude and they do fly over RI. Also there are approximately 1800 flights that fly over the North Atlantic daily. A large percentage of them fly over RI as we are in the area that the North Atlantic Tracks monitors and controls. Another thing that causes us to see a lot of contrails is because being near the ocean there is naturally a lot of moisture in our atmosphere. As mentioned before it is moist air, -50° atmospheric temps that allow contrails to form.

Contrails are actual clouds. Though they are not naturally forming they are basically the same thing. Therefore they are subject to the same natural forces as clouds. Winds and drier air will start to spread or dissipate them in various ways at various altitudes. Yes there are concerns about it due to global warming but it is not some purposely created nefariousness plot.

Yes I agree that some legislation has been passed by a few states regarding “CHEMtrails, not contrails, and they are based on conspiracy theories that the government is spreading toxic chemicals for weather control which has been debunked many times.

“Groups with thousands talking about” does not mean that they are talking about it with any experience or facts. That is the thing with conspiracy theories, they are not based on real science, or facts, but paranoia and ignorance.

Some facts about “geo engineering” and Cloud seeding. Cloud seeding is not done with chemicals it uses a naturally occurring mineral, silver iodine. Also for cloud seeding to work the need to have clouds and precipitation already in place. Another thing to note is they don’t fly the planes over 20,000 feet. They do not produce the long white trails we get from contrails as the seeding is happening inside the clouds, so you can’t see the dispersement of the silver iodine from the ground.

You saw lots on contrails on Wednesday cause it was a mostly clear day, lots of moisture in the upper altitudes and lots of commercial, cargo, and even military flights fly over RI”
