The Finale of Futurama

I am only posting here because my mere presence might ruin it for Sirkicky.
How anyone could find Futuroma worthy of a thread singing its praises is beyond my comprehension.

Not surprised. It does take a person of higher intellect to really understand it. Say, higher than a houseplant.

Futurama sucks and if you think it is funny we probly wouldnt be friends.

Simpson's suck too.

Family Guy sucks too.

Guyz if you want to know what's funny and cool, I'd be happy to explain it all later.

Yaaaa...

I'm gonna have to disagree. Simpsons, family guy, and futurama are all very funny. Simpsons not so much anymore, but its a classic and will go down as one of the best cartoons ever..

I'm with log and sirkicky on this. You aren't very smart if you don't think there is good humor in those shows.

Having said that, I don't watch them much because I don't have the time.

I'm goona try and find the time to see this last episode of futurama though.

So you are saying that Sirkicky has an IQ slightly above that of a houseplant!
I wouldn't have gone that far.

Sure. And yours is obviously well below.

I'm almost 30 years old. I'm too old to care anymore if anyone thinks I'm not manly enough. I shed a tear. It was beautiful. About 80% as good as the beginning of Up.

Did anyone else view this as the perfect culmination of an important show?

To be honest I've never seen it before. I looked up a little bit on youtube, the theme or rather, not the theme but the way the show progress seemed almost identical to the Simpsons. Actually it may be better than Simpsons because it looked more mature and less childish. I may like it if I give a chance to it.

You're not making sense. You mock the intelligence level appropriate of the show.
This reflects poorly on those that make threads about the show, not those who don't.

You really are intellectually challenged. You made it clear you didn't like the show. I made mention that anyone with the intelligence of at least a plant would like the show. Ergo, since you don't like it, your intelligence is lower than that of a plant, and those of us that do like it have intelligence greater than that of a plant. It might even be greater than any other sentient being but at LEAST higher than a plant, while yours remains below that of a plant. The fact that it had to be explained to you proves my point.

I agree that it is beyond your comprehension.

Do you talk like this in real life? If so, please record a mixtape and pm. Thanks.

It's punctuated by more high-pitched giggling, but how I write on here is almost exactly how I speak. This is more of a bug than a feature.

They share some common creative team members. They're sort of shows that are like half brothers. Maybe cousins.

Tried to rep but couldn't. Do I need to rep more? My last rep given was 9/2, and the last time I repped UGLI was on 8/30.

But honestly. Futurama is lame as hell.

Sorry Loggrad.
Despite your attempts to re-write history, you are *clearly* saying that the show is geared towards people of , shall we say , modest intelligence.

I held the same opinion as many of the detractors in this thread for a long time. But when I gave the show an honest chance, I quickly realized that there would unlikely be any other show made that targeted my ideal humor so specifically.

I am currently rewatching the entire series for the third time, loving every minute of it.

Haven't seen it yet, but I would be lying if I said it would be the first episode in this series that choked me up a little. They do a good job of mixing very human moments with the absolutely absurd and hilarious. One of my favorite shows of all-time. The forward time-machine and the Farnsworth Parabox episodes are epic.

I can't express the same sentiment any better. The episode about Fry's dog left me a blubbering mess.

it ends in a loop.

seeing as at the end it goes back in time. anywhere we dont know where.

First look at The Simpsons / Futurama crossover episode ‘Simpsorama’

September 9, 2014 by Gary Collinson 3 Comments

The Simpsons and Family Guy are set to share the small screen this month with the Family Guy season premiere ‘The Simpsons Guy’, but that’s not the only crossover in store for the inhabitants of Springfield in their 25th anniversary year. In November, The Simpsons will also team up with Futurama’s Fry, Leela, Bender and company for ‘Simpsorama’, and Entertainment Weekly has the first still…

‘Simpsorama’ will feature Futurama cast members Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, Tress MacNeille, and Maurice LaMarche and tells a “complex, Terminator-esque story that involves Bart blowing his nose on a sandwich that he places in a time capsule. When that mixes with Milhouse’s rabbit’s foot and some radioactive ooze, it creates a global catastrophe in the future, prompting Bender to travel back in time to kill Bart and prevent this mega-mess.”

Good call-outs scoots. There are sprinklings of that kind of stuff all over. Parasites Lost when Fry gets rid of the worms to find out who Leela really loves, not even taking advantage of her first for some meaningless sex, instead wanting it to mean something. The message at the end of the Late Phillip J Fry, the forward time machine episode. All great moments that keep our family coming back. It is our go-to show on Netflix.
