The Gordon Hayward Experiment...you know the drill

7 game sample: 34%; 23%
8 game sample: 32%; 18%

But Locke will tell us he almost had it turned around back there with that 4 game sample.

He was awful tonight, apart from attacking the basket once and getting his dunk attempt rejected, he didn't seem to do anything with any purpose. I started calling him "Wayward" and hoping he would be replaced by CJ Miles. Yes, he was that bad.

You and your stats...

Dude, what's it gonna take for you to admit that Hayward is really sucking right now? Since 1/22, he is shooting 11% from the floor, and hasn't hit a single 3 pointer. He's averaging 2 points, despite playing 37 mpg. Sure, his 7 rpg and 3 apg look good, but he also is averaging 4 TO's pg.

I wish we had drafted Paul George drafted one spot after Gordy (the guy that many on this board wanted).

For Indy this year he's averaging 11 points, 45 % shooting, 46 % 3 point, 81 % FT, 5 rebounds, 1 assists, 1 steal.

Solid numbers... Something I wish Gordy would do....

Honestly, it begins and ends, with hitting wide open jumpers.

If he creates, rebounds, bla bla bla those are all bonuses.

But it begins and ends, with what the former Little Brother coach "Jim Boylen" said after being railed by Brigham Young's University.

Monson: Coach dog, what happened?
JimmyB: Feel like **** how am I supposed to feel? The ball didn't go in the hoop!
Monson: What's the plan coach?
JimmyB: Ball has gotta go in the hoop!

As long as Gordy is shooting sub 20 %, he's basically even more worthless than Ronnie Price or CJ.

A shooting guard needs to be able to shoot.

It's completely aggravating watching him pass up open jumpers. Maybe he doesn't have confidence his release is fast enough to get it off, or he just obsessed with that "better shot" but he has to take those to get himself in rhythm. Him and CJ need to get together have morph themselves into each other and we would have the perfect wing.

Totally agree.

I think we need to start CJ for a batch of games and let Hayward come off the bench. Whomever is playing better gets to play down the stretch in the 4th. If they are playing the same, go with the starter (CJ).

Maybe this will wake Hayward up.
