What's new

The Jazz agreed to terms with Elson

So with Elson, Okur, and Fes all being C's and kinda slow to play PF, this may mean Al Jefferson will be a PF, at least he will after Okur returns... Millsap has no other b/u with NBA PF experience except AK... Interesting...

I imagine we will see virtually the same exact sort of 3 man rotation that we've had the past 3 years, but with Millsap seeing more minutes and Memo less.

He has started in an abnormally large portion of the games he's played in his career (148 of 405), considering his career averages are about 4 PPG, 4 RPG. Scary.

Greg Ostertag started 321 out of 756 career regular-season games, with career averages 4.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg.

'Tag lost his starting job to Olden Polynice, who averaged 5.3 ppg and 5.1 rpg in his two seasons with us (158 starts in 163 regular-season Jazz games), although his career averages are 7.8 ppg and 6.7 rpg.

So yeah, my expectations are fairly low for what he will bring.

I think you are talking about another Edmonson.

Actually that is the only Edmonson. You are talking about Louis AMUNDSON who formerly played for the Jazz and most recently Phoenix.

The big problem is the guy hasn't played any semblance of significant time in two seasons. And hasn't blocked a shot in two seasons.

But yeah, from the research I've done on the Elson of the past, this could be a very underrated pickup. He also seemed to get a large percentage of his baskets in pick-and-roll situations, could finish well, and also has a mid-range shot. We'll see how it goes.
