Defense still looks discombobulated, I still don't trust this bench unit Quin is enamored with, and Quin can revert to that stupid single high screen and kill the offense at any time. He hasn't lost a step. He's at the same speed he always was. His shot isn't falling at the rate it did last year. His speed is the same. And he was trending up before the hammy.

I was one of the people wary of the Conley acquisition. But now that he's here he's our guy and I'm going to root for him to succeed.
 
People are going to think we are a good team after this stretch of playing ****** teams. People already doing this when all we did was beat the lowly Timberwolves who were on 5 game losing streak coming into the game smh.

I've liked getting a chance to see what may be our best altogether lineup starting and ending games (DM - Royce - Ingles - Bojan - Gobert), and hopefully Quin sees what is ****ing obvious here.
 
I really don't understand the people that are longing to have last years team back. We haven't played anywhere even close to our potential yet and we still have a much better record after 25 games than we ever did with Rubio/Favors. Two years ago we bottomed out at 19-28 and last year we didn't get above .500 until January, and both years we were absolutely dismantled by the Rockets in the playoffs.

I don't deny that this team has some issues to sort out but there's no way in hell I would trade them for last years team. Ever since Quins been the coach we have always found our rhythm and played by far our best basketball in the second half of the season and I would expect this year to be no different. The ceiling of this team is much higher than last years.

If this is our best lineup, why are we paying Conley so damn much? Why did we make the trade?

I keep seeing this posted. Who’s going to play better for us? Niang? Mudiay? Green? Davis?

bogie, Mitchell, and Gobert have been about as expected.

Conley and jingles haven’t been. But how much better should they be? How much better can they be?

our bench is horrible. I’m not sure I buy into this “the jazz have Dream Team potential” argument. After their starting 4 or 5, theres significant drop off that I’m not sure can be countered.
 
Regarding the argument between Numb and Thriller about the Conley trade being worth it because it got you guys Bogey, I declare Thriller the victor.

Ingles is playing much better and is looking like his old self lately. Once Conley gets the system down completely and builds better chemistry and connectivity with his teammates I think his play will significantly improve. We all know Quins system is very complicated, there was a quote from Conley a few weeks ago saying that you need a PHD to play here. It took Rubio half a season to finally start looking comfortable running the offense and I have no doubt Conly will get there eventually. I also don't think the bench is set in stone. We still have the trade deadline and Andy Larsen say's the Jazz will be very aggressive in the buyout market.
