What's new

The Jazz are mediocre. Enjoy the Warriors championship dynasty.

As far as Bogut being the best passing big....Assist numbers aside just youtube Arvydas Sabonis and watch his passing skills. That dude was a legit passer and IMO the best passing big man of all time

Come to mind: Vlade, Kareem, Wilt (mid-career forward), Garnett, Sabonis, Duncan, Russell, Cowens, Marc Gasol, Noah

If I remember correctly when he was with the Utes I remember them saying Sabonis was his basketball idol growing up, something about his parents are from Yugoslavia before moving to Australia.

Well He definitely have Yugo looks.

I like what i have read here since I always get bs för picking sabonis in my all time greatest team. Prime sabonis. Man... Bring on anyone!

There is a lot of talk these days about the comparative advantage that big guards have in court vision -- "seeing over" the defense. Magic had this and with the growing use of "playmaking forwards" this topic is growing in popularity.

To the topic at hand: Centers have this advantaged "view from the Mount" -- why are there so few good passing Bigs? Lack of focus on this topic ("go bang the boards, big boy")? Less time developing these skills? Ability to rely on size and did not need to pass to get into Kentucky and then the lottery? Posing question to stimulate ideas.....

and his leading the fast break big man skills ... he was something else when he was young

The comparison to the Grizz might be accurate. And if DL only adds some solid, but not great backups, the Jazz could be like the Hubie Brown era Grizz...deep at every position, 50-win capable, but not really a threat to contend.

I would love for us to play 48 minutes of hell. Play 10 deep. Start Exum, Hood, Hayward, Favors, Gobert. Utilize a bench with an upgraded vet pg, Burks, Luwawu, Lyles, Withey. Play insanely aggressive defense like we did two years ago. Attack in transition more.

Tora, tora, tora mother****ers.

If we do that, we can win 55 games this season.
