What's new

The Jazz don't have much young talent...

Exum is a very natural athlete. He runs like a deer and has long arms. He's not explosive vertically, but runs the floor as well as anyone in the league. He has just enough hesitation and wiggle now to get by guys and score by reaching past defenders.

Mitchell is a very quick and powerful athlete, almost like the NBA equivalent of a running back. He has a low center of gravity and can cut hard to change directions and get by his defender. He doesn't get above the rim unless theres a running start and he has room to jump off both feet. The guys we should be comparing Mitchell to as athletes are Eric Gordon, young Jet Terry and Victor Oladipo.

They're both good athletes and both can play fast. They looked good playing off each other in Summer League.

I think he was wanting to see a dunk in traffic.

Mitchells only hope of getting to the rim in traffic is his quickness. Dante can get to the rim much easier, even after the ACL.

You are such a tool. You know Mark Eaton could get to the rim much easier then both of them. Does not mean he is more athletic.

Dante is as quick as you get. His first step perhaps unmatched.

Don't know what you Exum homers are smoking. Is he as quick as Westbrook? Wall? Rose before injuries? Kemba? LaVine? - not even close in my opinion. As combine sprint results show Mitchell beat him in 3/4 court sprint by 0.18 seconds. That is elite.
You guys need to really take you rose colored glasses off and accept reality.

Now this is the game and I usually do not care much about it... but still they must watch the games!!!

Exum not in any of these rankings. I can't just wait for small market conspiracy theorists and fan boys to cry about it - "oh its UTAH, had he played on Lakers he would be ranked as faster then Westbrook"

We don't need to put Dante down to prop up DM, because Dante has exceptional speed and fluidity. So, not a put-down, but DM is really in another league. He's the tasmanian devil out there. Very similar to Westbrook without the one-footed hops.

...And because Mitchell plays with such speed and explosiveness he becomes immune to falling into desperate funks when things aren't going well. He's a good passer, excellent defender and loves to challenge others. And he has good shooting mechanics with a lightning release, etc., so I bet his shooting comes around. But if his shot's not falling he'll continue to be a wrecking ball. He won't be held down unless Quin holds him down. And Quin knows this isn't a Burks or Exum mentality he's dealing with.

Until Dante learns what to do with his first step, he's going to continue to not be very good.
