The Move Forward Plan - NO TANK DISCUSSION IN THIS THREAD

I think trading away Sexton takes away some appeal to trading for Ingram. I’d much rather do something around Collins + Clarkson + Kessler if possible.

I think you do this if you think Keyonte is Lisan Al-Ghaib. I’m not there yet, but the FO might. Even if not, I don’t think generally Ingram is a more prized player than Sexton. Would have to see if Ingram is willing to extend.

I think NOP will want a player focused trade over more picks. Murray would be my number one target for them…I could see them going for Garland or Trae as well.

If we do trade John Collins and want to do it again, I think Jalen Smith is an underrated player who will be a FA. IND has a big log jam in the frontcourt so he will likely leave. If we got John Collins, but he was getting paid half as much and 24 years old I think we'd all like that.

With regard to Ben, Lonzo, and even Lavine. Moving forward you want to put yourself in as many win-win situations as possible. I’m sorry if this is to tanky for folks but if those guys are good and you get them for nothing or next to nothing… then it’s a win. If not healthy you play the young guys more and accept the consequences. Some of those guys are much bigger IFs but you have easy exits. Lavines contract carries significant risk but it sounds like he’s as close to rock bottom… he could go lower but with any reasonable health his value should bounce back.

Speaking of the Pelicans, I do think they are a team who could have more interest in both Sexton and Collins. What do we think of a trade built around Sexton+Collins for Ingram?
If we arent giving up picks I would be very happy about that trade. We then can pursue another guard. We also leave ourselves open to enough picks to make 2 big trades and still have FA. Someone know one expected will become available, it happens pretty much every year. Things change very quickly in the NBA.

I dont see it unless Pelicans have a plan to trade McCollum. Sexton/McCollum is not a synergistic backcourt.

I just want Deni Avdija, he has all star ceiling, solid defense, good size for a forward(206cm) and would fit perfectly in Hardy-ball. Has good bb IQ and would pair with Lauri, as Deni can play-make a bit. Oh, and makes just 55 millions four next year's combined.

But that damn dude had to throw that 43pts career high this spring, and had a really solid spring overall... Wiz resigned hi., and even if I read their owners to want to acquire more picks, I'd think they might overprize Deni. If you can get him with two firsts+anyone not named Markkanen, Keyonte or Kessler, go fetch him. I would honestly pay up a small overprize for him.

What kind of rocks are you smoking? In his entire career he has had one month of scoring 20 ppg, and this is on an extreme tanker. He's good and potentially a nice 3rd option/high level 4th, but no where close to all-star without significant improvement.

His efficiency jumped up a lot this season,he's a wholesome player that fits perfectly in Hardy-ball. When Brian Keefe took the HC job in Wiz this January, Deni got a bit more better run offense imo. And I think Hardy is a better coach. There's a reason why Deni was the better performing player on floor instead of Lauri when we met Israel (they have had one of the best run, modern offenses in int.basketball imo which tells me what Hardy could get out of him in Utah) with team Finland the last time. Deni is really good and under correct coaching, borderline all-star.
