The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I see nothing here that tells me soneone is backing up the truck for Walker. Lakers will always blow whatever they have on a washed up "name" player. Kessler isnt selling any luxury suites.
You are right. The Lakers have never shown any interest in Walker... oh wait.

Wiz, Nets, and Bulls also could easily have interest. Wiz have so much space they can offer Walker and wait.

The FA list is not very big. We should not brush off the potential of an offer or threatened offer that increases Walker's price.

Lakers liked Kessler when they thought they could dump their trash on us. Cap room opens up the possibilities of trades for the Lakers. We will see if Walker is at the top of their list then.

They offered multiple firsts but sure.

Cap room opens up trades but you still need assets for anything unless you are taking bad salary. I promise that LA was happy we didn't extend Walker.

Jazz offer 4 at 28 and win. A young player would be foolish to sign for only 3 years.

I mean, maybe, but this is also a really bad situation for Kessler with how our scheme is set up and how few ball handlers we have.

If we get Peterson, he'll probably want to stay, but otherwise is dicey. How much the Jazz are willing to pay him is also up in the air. Would they go beyond like 3/75? I don't know.

I expect the Lakers to give Kessler a 3/90 offer sheet where year 3 is an TO fwiw.
I bet they wouldn't hesitate to do 4/120 and have final year as a PO. He would make more there as the spotlight and production with Luka would be great... so I'd feel pretty good about him opting in or sticking around. That's where the Jazz may not love that type of offer... he has an out and may use it Gordon Hayward style and if he sucks or gets hurt he still got PAID.
