Don't understand what this means Please explain further Probably simple but I don't get it :confused::confused::confused::confused:

The theory is:

- Players care about their per game stats because it helps them get recognition and money. In order to maximize per game stats, players want to play as many minutes as possible.

- More minutes = more injuries.

- If better measurements of impact were used, like per possession stats then there would not be an award/money incentive to play more minutes. In fact per possession and other impact stats might be optimized by less minutes.

- Less minutes = less injuries.
