The only time anyone got bashed for anything Frank N related was when he was on the Knicks and people were saying to trade for him.

There's a Frank N thread from this off-season where pretty much everyone was in agreement, or neutral, about signing him this year for the minimum.

Or if people got wild and said... Frank could replace Conley's production... He was always a solid flier guy.

Ntilikina isn’t the biggest name on this list but is coming off of a very successful series against the Suns where he held Devin Booker and Chris Paul to 3-of-40 shooting. He is entering the final year of a two-year $3.8 million contract, and with Tim Hardaway Jr. coming back next year, he might not find the playing time.

I have been saying for 5 years that Nkilitina could be a defensive specialist star for us next to Don about 15-20 minutes a night.

Absolutely. Kinda two sides to the same coin.

I recall little-to-no pushback on the idea of picking up on a minimum deal.

In years previous, I’m sure whatever pushback that may have occurred came from the idea of trading real assets for him or placing him in a role of prominence. In which case, those are reasonable concerns.

But this notion that there was a widespread wholesale antagonism to Frank is just not true.

Frank N is cool. But he is the ultimate offense killer. He can't be a consistent role player. Hes simply a specialist you put in if you absolutely have to.

I had completely forgotten about the Donovan angle there.

Considering their supposed friendship and assuming some kind of friendship between Frank and Rudy (from playing on the French NT), maybe going after Frank should be prioritized if they try to run back Don and Rudy together.

That's another aspect of my desire to add Frank. He makes the lives of Don AND Rudy easier because he's an elite perimeter defender. His personal relationships with both should help too.
