The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

That game was very good last night. Wemby is a cheat code player. I've said multiple times that the Spurs should be asking us about Lauri, but I'm backing off that now. They would be too good.

If I was Peter holt I’d double my medical staff and base my entire philosophy around keeping wemby healthy.
If they can build a team that can just play net neutral when he’s off the floor (for 20+ minutes a game) they are a perennial contender. If they manage his minutes in a way that respects the outlier reality his freakish, impossible size, he can play for a long time. If they try to play him 36 minutes a night 82 games a year, he’ll be cooked in 5 years.

If the Jazz won't trade Lauri, I wonder if MPJ is another option for the Spurs. He's actually been better than Lauri this year.

He’s a complete ******* and has a broken back.

He's been one of the healthiest guys in the league the past couple seasons. As far as his personality....unfortunately I think he aligns with a lot of NBA players.

Wouldn't surprise me if any of the Lauri destination teams turn into MPJ destination teams. Lower cost and commitment.

He’s MAGA and has terrible perspectives. I don’t think Denver traded him just to get an upgrade on the court.

Like I said, I think he aligns with a lot of NBA players. I don't think that's an issue at all. NBA players aren't who they are because they are scholars.

At this point I might bet Kon is the best player in the class for their careers.
And you would be almost certainly wrong. It is very rare that the rookie playing the best ball for the first two months ends up as the best player in the class career-wise. Even the entire rookie year is a bad indicator for the career.

Just a reminder, the recent ROYs were MCW, Simmons, Wiggins, KAT, Brogdon, Ball, Barnes, Morant....

McDaniels has taken a nice jump offensively this season never seen him look this smooth and efficient and the stats back it up
