The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Wonder if Philly is pivoting to Demar as they are rumored to be less interested in PG (likely cuz he ain't interested in them). Bulls can negotiate with Derozan right now and maybe it ain't working. Maybe that is another potential domino here.

After seeing how Presti rolls I am not sure Ainge and Presti could ever talk. Consensus is Bulls fans are pissed right now that they couldn't walk out with one pick. lol.

Ainge: I would like 3 firsts for Kessler

Presti: How's about the bad Williams and a couple seconds

silence, crickets, tumbleweed... dial tone.

Tbf, Presti has traded out of drafts before. He traded away Sengun IIRC. If there's not someone they love, they could trade out. I'm not sure they'll be taking on a bunch of projects (I don't think they should at this point). I think Presti is doing the right thing in not wasting these years where they can actually win.

Ainge is also a hard ***, but I don't think he would hesitate to trade Kessler as he did Ochai.

I don't quite understand this for OKC. They already have a bunch of 3&D guard and wings, so getting Caruso isn't a huge upgrade. I'm also not sure what Chicago is doing, so I don't get this from both sides.
Dort has been rumored on the move for months.

I was joking. They could work it out I'm sure.

Wonder how desperate the bulls really are to move LaVine. I would get greedy if I was DA. #10 is the best sweetener they have now.

If they want to keep Pat they've got to do something. I wonder how much they would value Lavine for one of the JC's or Lavine + Lonzo for the JC's. That way they can try to keep Pat. Would they trade down from 11 for 29+32 and the opportunity to dump some salary?

Maybe part of the AC deal was a ceasefire on Pat Will lol. IDK I'm sure there is some way for us to make money work for them and still re-negotiate with lauri. That's kinda along the lines of what I was thinking/hoping.

Lavine for Collins is kind of the sweet spot for that type of thing. Wonder if we could line up something with Clarkson separately. I could also see them wanting Clarkson if Derozan bailed on them. Not sure how big a priority Pat is for them. Would think with Giddey/White they would want Williams to stick around.

A three way with Collins to OKC (with a swap of 10 and 12), Clarkson to Chicago, and Dieng/LaVine to Utah and we pick up 11 with Chicago getting 29/32 might make some sense.

Money wise it saves Chicago a ton, adds about 8M for us, and Collins contract lines up with when OKC's money crunch would happen.

Collins is still a decent fit with OKC if they want to go that direction. I think Hartenstein is too much money commitment (his contract would intersect with Chet’s raise). Who else are they going to go with as a C? Valanciunas or Bitzade maybe.

Not that it has to make sense but Giddey and Derozan isn't a great pairing on either side of the court.
