I believe the most we can offer Rubio in an extension this summer is a salary that starts at 120% of 15M... so around 18M... I feel like that is more than he’d get on the open market.

So we could likely do an extension if we wanted, but I don’t see a reason to do one unless we get a decent discount.

Teams tha need a decent PG and that may be in the market are kind of tough to find. Phoenix? Orlando? Chicago? Indiana? Not sure those teams are desirable or super interested.

If Rubio goes into next year this hot, he would probably get more. He'd be a savvy vet with playoff experience, great with the fans, and is a pro in his prime. Just keep that in mind. That said, I think he'd re-sign with Utah.

He’s shooting 38% from the field and 35% from three in the series... so he’s had one hot game one medium game and one bad one...

I doubt he gets more than that but he’s tough to peg.
