Go to any sporting event. A small number of people are paying any attention to the anthem. They are in line, ordering food, talking, walking behind the stands.

How many people who are standing with hand over heart are thinking of love for country or honoring the flag? A few, maybe. They are doing it because it is a social norm. Period.

zero outrage.

Most of the dream team did not cover their heart with hand (including David Robinson).

if people were really concerned with the anthem, they would be outraged 24-7.

I disagree. I think it appears to take extraordinary effort and schizophrenic ability to consistently freak out over everything Trump related, but to each his own.

The mental effort has to be exhausting! To keep convincing yourself of the gaslight version of reality, when the truth is plain to see has to take monumental effort. I feel for my Republican friends and family.
