The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

You'd have better luck winning Powerball than finding 17 R senators who are going to vote to impeach. The majority don't even think it's constitutional so even if they believe he incited it, they won't vote to acquit. The cake is baked and example #1,463 of how spineless these folks are.

My guess would be that the final vote ends up around 54-46 - I think Romney, Sasse, Murkowski and Toomey vote to impeach. Collins will chicken out like she always does.

It honestly doesn't matter - Donald isn't going to run in 2024. Donny Jr. is going to be his puppet to continue his father's reign of douchiness.

What's crazy is if they would have delayed evacuating the chamber by 2-3 minutes, it's likely that we would have had a few politicians beaten or killed. Not everyone, but a few would have been caught in the quagmire. And if that would have happened, I think the outcome of this trial would be vastly different. But the lives of civilians and police officers unfortunately get treated different.

There could be a video of trump meeting with the people who stormed the capital with him handing out schematics of the capital and tell them where security is the weakest.

Republican senators would still vote to acquit.

It is blind partisan politics. Every side has their leadership's junk so far down their throats they can't breathe without permission. The fact that you are seeing even a few republicans breaking ranks is a sign of how deadly serious and real this all is. But not enough can bring themselves to step away from the line that confirms their biases, and gets them re-elected. They are forced to toe the line. They believe that is the only way to win, and winning at all costs is the only thing that matters, it is the only thing that has mattered in a really long time in our country. And it is very very sad.

Damn I want in on some of that sweet ANTIFA stock! Can I purchase it through the Robinhood app? From what I hear they are everywhere, around every corner, behind every public disturbance, responsible for pretty much every act of vandalism and make one hell of a mean milkshake. With market share like that this thing is going to the moon!
