Russia is no longer the great power they used to be as we are seeing in Ukraine. However, they thrive by causing chaos and making others uneasy. They admittedly have tried to impact elections (even if people can debate whether they have been successful or not) and create distrust in an attempt to weaken the resolve of other nations. They are not stupid enough to send dozens of missiles into a NATO country, but given their track record anything is possible from incompetence to just simply stirring up more chaos with one single stray missile slightly over the border. I understand and do not disagree with your stance. I'm just saying anything is possible with Putin. If that's true Russia has fallen off in their chess playing ability to the point that it seems that can't play chess any better than they can fight a war.

That is the story that everyone is going with for the sake of deescalation, but the most likely explanation is that this was a Russian rocket fired by Russia and landed on the Polish farm due to operator error. Two sites in Ukraine that have been the target of repurposed S-300 missiles are Kyiv and Lviv. If you keyed in the latitude of of Kyiv and the longitude of Lviv, it is the exact coordinates of the Polish farm.Sounds like the missile actually came from Ukraine. It was a missile or a fragment of a missile that Ukraine had fired to intercept a Russian one. New information is coming out all the time so it would be wise to refrain from making predictions of NATO retaliation or WWIII.
I agree we may never know whose error it was, but that it was an error suffices to avoid NATO plunging into war. That is the story that everyone is going with for the sake of deescalation, but the most likely explanation is that this was a Russian rocket fired by Russia and landed on the Polish farm due to operator error. Eh, he was a darling of the state, gave them legitimacy hence his running of their basketball program for a while there. Putin likes the rich and famous. I'm sure he's fine either way.Anyone know if AK47 lives in Russia? That would suck to be a millionaire former NBA star and be stuck there.
