On that subject, killing weapons have recently taken a new and horrifying step. The latest drones being used in the Ukrainian conflict now do their final targeting autonomously. They know what a target looks like. They know how to approach the target to cause the most damage possible. They trigger on their own.

The North Korean soldiers appear to be almost worthless to the Russian army, but there is a rumor that they are of great value to the Ukrainians. The story is of there being not enough translators who know how to speak Korean and so Russians are using Google translate to communicate with the North Korean troops, which means Google knows all the Russian plans down to the squad level. It is just a rumor, but it is a credible rumor.

Seriously what Ukraine has done in this war will go down as the textbook way to win against a technologically and numerically superior opponent with far fewer resources in modern warfare. Unbelievable. Their leadership is stellar and their fighting force so engaged and determined I'm thinking until Russia deploys truly heinous weapons of war, they don't stand a chance. And all of this is very limited support from other countries for Ukraine. Completely fascinating. I hope when Harris wins she increases the support and puts this disgusting thing to bed once and for all.
