We can only hope. I'm afraid Trump will go the opposite and openly support Russia and put pressure on our allies to drop Ukraine. It's likely going to get very very bad for them.

And now the rug will be pulled out from under them. Sad to see this all fall apart. Far more people will die in this if we pull our support, and all at the hands of an invading dictatorship supported by another dictatorship. Will we prove to be a similarly supportive dictatorship?

Whatever. First, you and your sky-is-falling compatriots have demonstrated that you know very little about the conflict in Ukraine. Second, both Trump and Vance have vowed support for Ukraine. Third, the Biden/Harris administration has only given the Ukrainians enough to continue fighting but not enough to actually win anything. You're acting like a forever war in which a thousand Ukrainians are killed or wounded every day is the greatest good.

What is likely to happen is that Trump will make a phone call to tell Putin he needs to stop all hostilities and freeze the lines where they are or Trump will give the Ukrainians the weapons they need to wipe the Russians out, and if that happens the Russian people could very well turn on Putin for wasting a million Russians for nothing. Putin will take the deal, and he'll declare victory, but Ukraine will remain a country, will become a NATO member and a member of Europe. Most importantly, Ukrainians will stop dying and they'll be able to rebuild their power grid to once again grow their economy.

He’ll do everything he can, but he has a massive Obama-Biden policy blunder pit to dig out of. Not sure he will be able to. Ukraine is on the precipice and likely to fall. You know how many of these CNN soap opera addicted dorks are rooting for it with baited breath, waiting to blame the fall on Trump?

We live in a reality TV world bro. The war in Ukraine is US political sport theater to them.

We'll see. I don't personally believe Trump is amazing at all things, but one thing he does seem to be able to do is to put deals together. I'm cautiously optimistic he'll pull it off shortly after he gets access to the tools of the US government that allow him to be a bad, bad man.
