It isn't moral nihilism to be dismissive of group sin and group virtue. Believing collective sin and virtue is meaningless isn't the same as thinking nothing matters. I simply choose to judge people on their own merits as individuals. That is the way I do it. If someone is dividing people into groups to make it easier or justified in their own mind to hate the members of that group then I don't look favorably on it no matter what label they are affixing to the group.

How do you feel about rapists? If I say "I hate rapists" would you condemn me? "You don't know every rapist, how dare you judge them as a group?"

I get your point with this response but I don’t agree with this general grouping as well. I know a friend who had consensual relationship with a girl who was underaged but had a fake ID. She was caught by her parents and she lied and pressed charges. He was convicted and spent time in jail. Would he be in your group of “rapists” that you hate?
When Triller says republicans are racists, he is grouping 33% of the American population as racists. This is the point that is being made.

I don't judge them as a group. I have no problem judging the act. Rape itself is detestable. Likewise I wouldn't begrudge you if you believed fascism is detestable. There is a difference between feelings of revulsion to an act or idea, and feelings of revulsion to a social collective of people.

I think Progressivism is cancer but I know Progressives who are better people than I am. I know one guy who stopped all the cars on a road so a snake could slither across without being killed. There is no conflict inside my own head over thinking he's completely wrongheaded in his political ideas and thinking he is a better human being than I am. I don't know any rapists who are better people than I am but I also don't blanket hate all of them because I know there exist a small number of rapists who didn't actually rape anyone.


If there is a rapist in particular you want to look at, I'm open to listening to what you have to say about the particular rapist and will likely agree with you in how awful they are.

A child cannot consent. So, he thought she looked young, but she said, "No, I have ID?"

If you purposefully maintain membership in a group that espouses or, at the very least, is comfortable with racists, then, well, there's a racism issue there.
 
Let’s remember now, Republicans supported:

1. Mexicans are racists and murderers. Build the wall!
2. Very fine people at Charlottesville.
3. ******** countries and Trump whining about the lack of white immigrants.
4. Child separation for those seeking asylum. He wanted to make this as painful as possible to discourage brown people from seeking asylum.
5. “When the looting starts the shooting starts.” The racist history behind this quote was pretty obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of American history.
6. Attempts to throw out votes, from mostly POC, silencing their voices. Funny how Trump never called into question any rural white voting precincts, right?

And this comes after the Trump family was sued by the Nixon administration for racial discrimination and after he called for the Central Park 5 to be executed. His first AG, Jeff Sessions, had a long history with racism. And do we need to go into detail about Stephen Miller???

So either Republicans who supported Trump agreed with his views and are racist or they weren’t bothered enough by Trump’s racism to support someone else.

Not sure if I’ve ever seen anyone try and justify child rape on this website before. But when you’re morally nihilistic, The only thing wrong is the person accusing that child rape is wrong.

This discussion has gone someplace really weird… which is what Trumpers like. They don’t want to admit that they support a horrible leader who leads an anti american authoritarian movement.
