The Stretch 4 Discussion Thread

I'd give Bjelica a shot as a "Plan B" Some red flags (i.e. his age) but I'm convinced he was not utilized correctly in Minnesota.

Utah could be a great fit for him.

The Jazz may believe they can put in a bid for guys like Randle and Gordon and continue to develop their games.

Otherwise, they're looking at journeyman types.

Yeah, I'd rather go to Sacramento if I was in his position.

I guess but they have not developed anyone and are still a **** show of an organization. Peja just got promoted... so vlade and peja are the folks in charge? Ooooooffff

They got some pieces and are a young team. IDK, but you need minutes to improve and I dont think Hezonja would get minutes on Utah unless injuries happen.

Prolly true unless they unlocked some stuff for him and his play forced them to give him minutes.

We are pretty good on the wing... DM, Ingles, Royce, Exum, Thabo, Jae, AB filling in too. Royce Thabo and Jae can play minutes at the four as well.

I think we draft a wing and give them some development minutes as needed. Try and get a couple minimum guys as fliers.

Hezonja wouldnt be a starting 4 and I dont think he would be a better backup 4 than Jae. He probably wants to go somewhere he can get guaranteed minuets after struggling to find the court in Orlando.

Hypothetically, we could start Ingles at PF. He'll turn 31 next year and the move could elongate his career. His defending is strong enough and he has Gobert behind him. We could be really dangerous with Joe in that role. He'd be like a lesser rebounding better shooting version of Draymond.

Ingles, Crowder, Thabo, and Jerekbo could be our PF's.

I just don’t know that you can ever have enough rangey forwards or shooting in today’s NBA.

Ingles struggles with bigger stronger guys. He can play in one big lineups but Royce Jae or Thabo are better suited to guard 4s.

Joe is better with guys like Paul George and JJ Redick other guys can move him around too easy.

I'm asking sincerely not sarcastically... What do you see DMC doing that is different than Crowder?

Better shooter and has more self awareness - so he won’t shoot too much ... better at guarding quicker perimeter guys.

There is some duplication though... I see him as more useful than AB... and it was an AB for DMC... they do it to save a few million.

If the AB we have gotten in the playoffs is what we can get 25% of the time next year then I’d just keep AB. He runs so hot and cold though.

I would swap AB for DMC right now. AB is missing one thing you just really cannot teach: basketball smarts. DMC has'em, AB doesn't.

Quoting Lopo, and I tip my hat to him for initiating this discussion: "Jabari Parker - the million dollar question. Who is he really? Is his offense worth his questionable defense? Would Quin make him a star because Bucks' coaching has been so poor? How much does he want? He will be discussed at length."

The Milwaukee fans at Real GM seem to detest Parker, and that has cooled my interest in acquiring him. But I have to wonder if at the right price, we should take a look. If Favors leaves and Milwaukee doesn't want Parker, it's conceivable that Snyder could improve the dude's performance.
