To be fair, Davis only shot 40%, and those numbers are below his season averages (and well below his averages since losing Cousins). I think it's fair to say Rudy defended him better than anyone in the past month or so, but it's hard to say how much Davis' ankle was a factor.

Agree, for what it's worth Locke, a couple weeks ago said Gobert is the best center in the league.

Davis may very well go the PG13 route soon enough. He’ll privately tell the team that he’s planning to leave. They’ll gauge his trade value at the next deadline. The Pelicans will then trade him for the best package that they can get prior to the 2019 draft - regardless of if he’s willing to commit long-term to the new team.
This is exactly why I want Paul George to leave this offseason. I want teams looking at the Thunder getting screwed by KD and PG13 and getting gun shy about making a blockbuster offer.
Yeah it was when he got tossed.
On another note, AD should demand a trade to Utah this summer. That would guarantee a dynasty.

Gobert, AD, Jingles and Mitchell is well worth going into the luxury tax. That would be a ridiculous team regardless of whoever the other 11 players on the team are.
- Anthony Davis was 40 of his last 99 against the Jazz in games when Rudy Gobert played coming into the game tonight. This evening he went 9 of 22. He is now 49 of his last 121 against the Jazz in games Rudy Gobert played against the him. That is 40%.

You forgot to mention that Gobert shot 38% against Davis and Davis had 10 blocks.
I love me some Gobert and he's been playing out of his mind, but if I had to choose between them, there's no question who I'd take.

That said, Achilles injuries are NBA players achilles heels.
Gobert's value isnt really tied to his scoring tho, which is why he is so great. He is the offense, but he doesnt even have to touch the ball, all he has to do is screen.

No way can Boogie play any meaningful four after an achilles rupture. Also there’s that whole chemistry and mental part.
This is a joke right? The Jazz would never even consider Cousins, and for good reason.
.....as for tonight game. Rubio...amazing. Rudy....the most impactful player on this team. Donovan....how the **** did we get this kid, he is the funnest Jazz player ever.

It's certainly not advocating for him. I only say Boogie because, I believe, his contract is up and he could space the floor really well for the Jazz. I dispose the guy, but love his game. Gobert and Boogie, to me, would be dangerous together.
