The Walking Dead

I liked last episode. The vegetarian part of Eastman was a bit unrealistic and silly ( good luck surviving zombie apocalypse with just veggies) but rest was good.

omg your such a liberal stereotype.
are you really that dumb.

i got an uncle, my grand moms brother!
he lived fully 100% off the grid.
used to live of the land for a few years after his wife left him.
once his wife came back, he was so used to living of the land but his wife wanted meat. and milk
so he went out and got some chickens and milk.

I have never been to Georgia US and not sure how bad is winter there, so maybe you can grow vegetables there all year round. But please correct me isn't this apocalypse happening for more then just a summer already? To me teenager girls snapping tortoises head and eating it raw in previous episode was way more realistic then somebody trying to survive on tomatoes and cucumbers for such a long time. Just my 2 cents.

No way is snapping a tortoise head off and eating raw turtle (that would make you sick, right?) more realistic than growing a garden or just foraging. I find it hard to believe it's so hard to find food that you have to resort to eating raw turtle.

Zombies are probably eating most the animals. Plus any gun ammo should be saved for attacks and you would not want to fire a gun since that attracts all the zombies within a few miles. Vegetarian seems like the most likely and easiest way to survive.

Seems like there would still be a lot of animals left. I doubt a zombie could catch squirrels/deers/birds/other wild game.

Also, do they ever address the zombie/animal relationship in the comics?

Like, would wolves/bears be ****ing up zombies who wandered into their territory? I'm assuming they don't eat zombies because they taste bad, but wouldn't they kill them?

You would die from starvation until your first tomatoes or cucumbers would be edible. In situations like that vegans are doomed. People were always saved by animal protein during tough times. In siege of Leningrad during WW2 and winter time stray dogs, cats and rats were eaten without hesitation and even cannibalism was reported quite frequently.

Hope you have seen movie Alive which is based on true story.

enum there was canned foods enough, so you can afford to wait for your fresh food to grow!

Dude they are in Georgia. Winter is like 40 degrees.

I see, so forests and regular cabins in Georgia are stocked with canned veggies.
Lets do some math, how many tomatoes and cucumbers you would need to eat for survival? Lets say average man would need 2000 calories per day... one tomato is 22 calories and one cucumber about 15 calories would provide about 2% of that requirement. So you need about 45 medium tomatoes and 66 cucumbers just to get 2000 calories. Good luck growing all of that and surviving on that.
