I wonder if we have anyone on the roster that could do that stuff... maybe there are some threads where a smart poster suggested we may have someone that could pull this off and wouldn’t cost us any assets.

We don't have that player on our roster currently, no. Juwan Morgan isn't ready. Brantley is a 3/4 like Niang.

Morgan can be that on a budget... he’s ready.

Markieff Morris could be our backup 4/5. Play him 12 minutes at PF and 12 mins at C. Trade Ed Davis + 2RP.

Juwan is free and knows the system better... doesn’t have the extra stuff that comes with Morris. I’m only talking like 12 minutes a night when Rudy is off the floor.

When teams go small we need to give Bradley's minutes to Morgan. Bradley doesn't stand a chance guarding guy's like Rudy Gay.

This is correct. I think you throw the kid in there and see what he can do. I can't watch another night of Bradley running around like a chicken without a head on defense when the other team goes small.

He had a couple okayish moments... but the problem is it isn't good enough to survive a few possessions if you aren't taking advantage of the size advantage on the other end. He got zero boards last night... none.

Morgan or Brantley make so much more sense to me. Morgan might be an elite roll man. His work in the G League is amazing tbh. Not just catching and finishing, but also passing. He can also dribble so in DHO stuff if they switch everything he could fake pass and drive when he gets the gap. He needs some run to get comfy though before trying that stuff.

I still can't believe he didn't get any burn the last two games, it seemed to make so much sense to put him out there against the Spurs and Rockets small ball lineups.

I think he is with the Stars right now... but yeah it should have already been in the works. We will see 5 out small ball again tonight since Denver doesn't have Plumlee. Not sure which wing will handle the 5 duties...

I hate the favoritism the refs give Harden as well. Even if the Jazz practiced it, the refs wouldn't call it the same as they do for Harden. I've watched the NBA for just over 30 years, and there are always players that get away with things other players could never get away with. If a STAR player masters something that normally is called. It may take a while but eventually the refs come around to the move. I watched Jordan do it with his dribble drive, Stockton do it with his away from the ball offensive interruption on the defense, Malone do it with his lane drive while sticking his left elbow out to draw contact, so on and so forth. The player that masters the move, is in turn rewarded from the refs. Jazz start head faking a foul on a lane drive while pushing defense with their forearm (like harden does) the refs will call an offensive foul every time.

I hope last night was a wake-up call. Cut Rayjon if you have too— just bring these two cats up

I'd be shocked if they cut Tucker. They gave him minutes from the jump so they must really like him.

Morgan and Brantley are active tonight. Whether they get any minutes is anyone's guess.
