The thing we need to take away from the Fes folly is very few 7' 280 lbs centers can even make that move without traveling or getting an Off foul. Dwight Howard could probably pull it off, thats about it though.

Would like to see him make the roster, as we are a bit uncertain defensively at SG. Jeffers can defend well, and he's buying into the Jazz system; see his comments here:

I didn't see the game, but this article commended Jeffers for having a productive game in such a short time on the court vs Portland...

Okay well saying Hayward was "lost" might have been a little unfair... I guess what I was mostly trying to say was that his game looked less than NBA ready, and he didn't seem very confident/comfortable.

I'm willing to give him some more time... yes, it's preseason. Not stoked yet though.

Difference is Matthews wasn't a top 10 draft pick, he didn't come with expectations. Hayward, as a result of his draft position, needs to show me something... some kinds of nba ready skills that can contribute meaningfully to this team... I want to see that. Soon.

Matthews was 2 years older than Hayward as a rookie, and had an NBA ready body. Lets cut the G man some slack
