I have a pretty good feeling what happened. Powerful men sexually abuse and take advantage of women with little or no power all the time. It's not some controversial idea. Most of them get away with it. That's also not a novel concept.
Maybe you know more about what happened than I do (that wouldn't surprise me). Or maybe it didn't really go down in the way you are saying. Either way, there's a lot more to the story of Kobe than this one chapter, and it's okay for people to celebrate the positive in a moment like this.

I believe he raped the woman, but this is in very bad taste to bring it up now. Everyone makes mistakes and to dwell on that when he did so many other outstanding things with his life, is very mean-spirited.

Wait, you believe he raped a woman, but everyone makes mistakes?

I have never raped a ****ing woman! I would be generous enough to posters here to assume than no one else on the forum has either.

And if this is not a good time to bring it up, when is? When can we talk about Kobe being a rapist?

I remember sitting courtside (got lucky for the tickets) during his 9 game 40 point streak against the Jazz. Had a bum knee and looked like he could barely walk but he took AK47 and isoed him on the right baseline all game long and just abused him. It was something special to see. Don't think he dunked, drove, did anything athletic. Just shot faked AK out of his shoes non stop, perfect footwork, knocking down 15 foot fadeaways. It was beautiful. Made me despise the Lakers even more that day.

Edit: This was also the 2nd game of a back to back in which he played 54 minutes in a double OT game against he Rockets the night before. The man was an animal.
