Top Teams that could be interested in a trade for Al Jefferson?

IMO Milwaukee Bucks is the team. Perfect fit for Big Al ( Ekpe Odoh and Gooden ), cap space and not great market.
They´re playoff team in East with Jennings+Ellis+Jefferson

Maybe
Udrich + Dunleavy + Pick 12 ( or first in 2013 or 2014 ) & Big Al + Tinsley/Watson

We win cap space, a lottery pick and great and useful role player in Dunleavy

Atlanta needs a big Marvin Williams and or josh smith are their trade assets.

Washington if we would take blatch but I doubt they offer their pick. Not to mention not many teams willing to touch blatch

Charlotte is another good fit. He would be good next to biyombo

New Orleans is another.

Milwaukee as mentioned is another

Detroit would be Gordon would be their trade asset. Monroe is a great high post player fits with Jefferson in the low block.

Portland would take him probably for the 11th. The need a center badly.

Houston is another good fit lots they could trade in additions to a pick.

Cleveland maybe but I wouldn't give up the 4 for him.

Maybe nj but only as a back up if they lose Howard and dwill not a good fit with Lopez.

Dallas if the cant get any big names would be a great fit with nowitzki.

Orlando depending on what happens with Howard and what they get back.

See there are teams that could use him but there are 3 things to trade for cap space, players and draft picks. What do the jazz want.

big al

We acquired Big Al for 2 first-rounders and Boom Bitches.
2. Were Timberwolves desperate at that point? I mean, c'mon - you don't trade 20/10 guys like that. You trade them for a reason.

Twolves got a future first round pic..... would we take a future first round pic for big Al?

The problem is this:
29 teams know we want to trade Milsap or Jefferson. Most teams prefer Milsap to Jefferson. We likely won't give Sap up. I'd be surprised if it happens. Anyways, they all think we're desperate to trade him and that lowers Jefferson's value a ton. Teams definately could do with a skilled big like Jefferson (Especially teams who have the Hasheem Thabeets and Kwame Browns). We hate him for his PnR defense, but if you saw the Clippers Spurs series, then you know it's not only Jefferson.
Teams send us crappy offers for Jefferson knowing that we're desperate and I doubt KOC makes a desperation trade

So we're either going to look at a desperate attempt to trade Al or he's staying with the Jazz 1 more season.

Weezur,

So... According to this logic, any team that is openly looking to trade an asset, teams will greatly take advantage of that team and offer significantly less value? So, that is why teams are only offering 2nd round draft picks to Orlando for Dwight Howard?

Teams will aggressively offer what they need to get a player that will improve their team. The cap does make the situation different but elements of supply and demand still factor into trades. How many 20 and 10 guys are out there? Yes, he is in the last year of his contract. Yes, he has a high hit on the cap.

So, the team really needs to be one that is one player away from really making a significant improvement in the team.

The question is whether or not teams really believe that Jefferson is the answer. I doubt that there are more than a few teams who would be interested, because he is not really a guy you can just throw on any team and instantly make it better. The Bucks actually seem like a decent fit to me, but if a team is not a playoff contender, why not just make him an offer after the season?

Yep, it will take the right fit and a team that is just a player away. But then again, all you need is two teams to be interested to maybe get the value up.

If the Jazz could shed Al and get he #4 pick I would also throw in the GSW pick and another future first rounder.

With that #4 pick you could be looking at getting MKG, Beal, Robinson or Drummond. Yes, two of those names would be gone but that also means that two would be left over.

If this was real I would be jumping for joy.

Two first rounders and Jefferson for one first rounder? Have you been chewing the khat again Jello?

Jefferson + GSW + Burks for #4 from Cleveland.

That's equivalent to trading 3 first round picks for the 4th pick...stupid. I would only trade Jefferson and GSW for the 4th Pick

So would I. I'd also trade Jefferson and Burks. If push came to shove, I'd trade all three if it meant landing MKG.

If push came to shove, I would throw in our 2013 1st round pick no Burks. If we had MKG, Hayward, Burks, Favors, Millsap, Harris and Kanter, I think we could make the playoffs again.

Just say no to MKG. The dude can't shoot. We need shooters. Could you imagine teams defending us with MKG? It would be Kobe vs Brewer x 5.

I'd push hard for Lillard, then I'd stack the bench with the type of guys that usually everyone around here says suck and is one-dimensional.

If we trade Jefferson, GSW pick, and 2013 1st round pick for the 4th Overall pick and land MKG then use the cap space we free up to get D-Will

D-Will/Tinsley
Hayward/Burks
MKG/Hayward
Millsap/Favors
Favors/Kanter

I think Cavs would agree only for 1 first rounder.

Where is Harris? )
