In fact both major political parties follow a policy referred to as "multiculturalism" which began in the early '70s, when the "White Australia" policy that had existed from Federation (in 1901) was finally dismantled. Multiculturalism basically embraces immigration from any part of the world.

I read somehwere that it was hoax, but want to believe that at least somebody actually thinks that way. Immigration is great but immigrants need to adapt to the country they are moving in not vice versa!
And multiculturalism is a mirage/utopia. It is just against humane nature. It is never going to work. Comunists in USSR had a vision and were telling that in the future there will be no borders, races, nationalities, and no different languages, that everybody will live happily in one planet and speak on language.
Guess what, there is no USSR anymore. No Yugoslavia, no Czechoslovakia. Even Sudan split into two parts due to religion. IT DOES NOT WORK!
