Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

Oh crap, I'm the ******* here sorry. I didn't expand the response and thought you wrote that in response to the video I posted.

My bad dude.
No worries. I didn’t want anyone walking away with the impression I’ve said something I haven’t.

Yeah for sure, I don't blame you for that one bit.

As for who's largely behind the destruction and rioting I don't think we have a clear picture at all because it's such a cluster ****. Having watched ten or fifteen hours of live footage of the various protests/riots I can safely say I've seen destruction caused by people actually protesting the death of George Floyd, I've seen what appear to be people dressed up like black bloc anarchists causing mayhem, and some right wing "Boogaloo bois" as well.

Ehh, I don't think anyone in particular is 'largely' behind the rioting. Pissed off people in big groups do this.
There are a lot of explanations with this happening nationwide, and if you said _____ did it, it’d be true. The thing I find funny is that after people went out of their way to defend the black communities for riots, to then realizing that the rioting may only be in part due to black communities, and after numerous black voices put out very rational pleas regarding the rioting, it seems it’s easier to gloss over all of it, say it’s all white supremacists trying to start a civil war, and declare these aren’t the droids we’re looking for.

Pretty much. Pissed off people, and sometimes even really happy people (see riots in cities after their team wins/loses a championship).

Often times when you get masive groups of people marching in the streets at night some of them decide to use the opportunity to create some mayhem.

How many conservatives would support or join in this type of protest if the government was trying to take away one of their rights like their guns?

I guess it's hard to see since rights aren't being taken away, just basic rights never given that white people have always had here.

Not I. There are many [most?] legal demonstrations regarding guns (or any conservative cause) that I don’t support at all. I’m also not a big mob-mentality guy, left or right. The only exception I draw to that is sports fandom. And not in any physically aggressive way. More so just in the way that it’s going to get ugly and aggressive figuratively, because it’s a sport and it’s totally irrational, but when it’s over you have mutual respect for the battle. I feel very uncomfortable in physical groups of people with similar ideologies, whether it’s my own or not.
Wheres is the line you would stand up for yourself? What if your family members were accused of crimes you know they didn't commit and we're sentenced to death with no jury or trial?

I would not personally get violent in these protests but I have a hard time condoning people in them. I could see myself posted far enough to do something extreme. There are certainly people who have been pushed way way too far.

Yes, some people involved are doing bad things without any cause. But they shouldn't take away from the message.

Nah, dude. Pieces of **** in large groups do this. Pissed off people normally swear at someone, fight someone, etc but they ain't burning **** down and destroying things. There are plenty of pissed off people not doing this, you know why? They're not pieces of ****.

Yeah, well, it's ok because, well, you know, they're pissed off...

I deleted my comment above [but will leave it in the quote] because I thought the question should get clarity before I answered it. The clarity would be the first sentence of ‘get involved in the protest’ vs ‘get involved in the riot.’ I mean, the first part would presume that anyone is condemning protests. I haven’t seen any of that. In fact, Trump himself has vocalized support for protest. But if we’re conflating protest with looting, fires, and assault [all of which are largely unrelated to the subject matter being protested], then that’s a totally different question.
