Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

I would not spend effort wondering what I believe, what @The Thriller believes, or anyone else for that matter. It's likely most of us, at least in part, believe what we want to believe. Not trusting Trump or Barr to be truthful is sufficient for me.

Here you can check the credentials and professional affiliations and awards of the Post journalists that work on The Fact Checker. The link may not take. If so, the information is available as a link at the bottom of the Post article that I posted for you earlier.

It’s funny how this poster youre replying to is on my ignore list. I literally haven’t read a single post of his in months yet he still can’t stop talking about me. Rent free in his mind. Just amazing.

And it’s not like I’ve been actively posting in this thread either. I’m pretty exhausted of arguing about it really. I’m really pretty much done talking about this topic and enjoy reading your fact driven posts and links to the Wash Post stories. You’re a walking encyclopedia! I like the information you’re posting, very insightful.

They also examined arrests records from across the country. Found no individuals with Antifa affiliations. You can’t expect a short video like that to reproduce their research on every single arrest record. They presented their conclusions in the video. I believe they can back up the conclusions with their research. You would rather believe they are simply lying through their teeth, I imagine? As far as what I believe, the fact that both Trump and Barr were pronouncing Antifa was behind violence at the protests was plenty reason enough to consider the claim to be BS. Those two promoting the belief was an excellent reason to doubt it was factual.

I did not include the Washington Post article, which included that video. I did include it in the 2020 Election thread. Here is that piece, which describes how they approached and went about the research conducted by the journalists. You can review it. It has more info than was summarized in the short video. And, yeah, I do call what they conducted investigative journalism, as a matter of fact. And you can double check them by also going over arrests records from coast to coast. You do that, prove them wrong, and get back to me someday..

“The Fact Checker video team spoke to witnesses and reviewed arrest records, federal charges, intelligence reports, online conversations and dozens of videos and photos of violent incidents from the early days of protests in Minneapolis to determine whether a coordinated antifa campaign was responsible for the violence.”

Now, you do some investigative journalism, to the same or greater extent as described by the Post journalists, you investigate the arrests records at demonstrations around the country, and you counter their findings by showing me all the many people arrested that you find had associations with Antifa. You do that. Or, you can say, as you did say, earlier in this thread “I knew it was Antifa as soon as I saw the video“, and you can call that your idea of investigative journalism. After all, you yourself claimed “it ain’t rocket science”.

Antifa is not a group one can join. It's an ideology. It's a political protest movement that uses militant tactics. No one is going to come out and say it because it's been labeled a terrorist organization (I think that's a joke too btw.) Their Facebook or what ever group they're members of have changed their names or bios so they're not shut down or held responsible.

It's like the kid in Provo that was part of the mob harassing people driving in their cars, surrounding them and yelling angrly at them and slapping their windows. They scared the drivers who tried to flee and then shoot the guy. Guy who shoots the driver is in all black, a member of a Facebook group that changed their antifa name and constantly shared and posted about militant protests. Yet, people on here are like, how do you know he's antifa - I tell them many of the clear signs and they somehow still deny it because they don't understand it's not a group.

That investigation is an absolute joke. Sure, they didn't find that any of the arrested protesters were members of the antifa or affiliated - because it's not a group. I'm certainly not saying that all the protesters think they're antifa or even realize it but to blatantly do an investigation that's so blinded and bias is ridiculous.

I could go into it more about how they blatantly lied and left out major information that's very easy to find with simple Google searches, but what's the point. Pretty much every comment on the video calls them out and tells them they're joke for many simple reasons.

To me, it was biased, ****** journalism, short-sighted, not truthful and had a political agenda.

These peaceful protesters are a bunch a young morons fighting for a fad.

Thriller, I just wanna say hi. I know you tell everyone, every chance you get you have me on ignore yet you still read all of my posts. You know it and I know it.

Sad to see that a city has so many persons who prefer to have a low wage job. Why would any sane company hire anybody from that group? If they could not behave on the street then why should i trust them to perform something useful for the paying customer? Well, HR departments have a lot of film to study.

The police show up in riot gear try and pointing guns at people. What did they expect?
What did the rioters expect by destroying city property? To get a high five.

The same morons doing this and whining about riot prevent groups are the ones that don't under robbing two people with a gun and running from police doesn't make you a martyr.

Were they acting that way before the police showed up? Showing up in riot gear in and of itself makes protestors more strident.

So, you think robbers who run from the police deserve to die? Or, that they aren't martyrs because they were not a part of a protest themselves?

Thriller is one of 2 posters that I have on ignore. I very rarely unblock and read a post of his, and usually it wasn't worth it. Funny when people block someone then read all their posts anyway.

Maybe compliance, since you know, that's how society works. Very often it's failure to comply that sets all this **** up in the first place.

Are you saying that when police show up in riot gear that means they deserve to be attacked, and at that point but not before it is perfectly acceptable to destroy property?
