It's a better pairing than Simmons+Embiid or simply just Embiid. Embiid isn't an old player, but you can't waste his years when he's healthy.

It's a better pairing than Simmons+Embiid or simply just Embiid. Embiid isn't an old player, but you can't waste his years when he's healthy.

I think they sending Maxey or Thybulle and a pick or two if it happens. It's better than Embiid and nothing obvi... Harden just feels a little Westbrooky at times since for him to be maximized he needs the ball a ton and doesn't do anything well off ball. I also wonder how it works with Embiid in the post... maybe he goes to more rolling.

I'm not sold its a pairing that will work like some think it will.

Nets blowing up is fun though... not like we making the finals so root for chaos!!!

Part of me feels like this is as much an opportunity to trade Simmons as anything. They need to make a deal and they need to get something with big enough hype that they can save face and this looks perfect for that.

What's the alternative? It sounds like they are asking for twice what anyone's maximum offer is and they cannot just keep holding out. Are we to believe that the dude who has not improved at all since entering the league (and by some metrics has regressed) is working hard on his game? lol, right. If I'm a team interested in Simmons, I am less and less interested as time goes on.

If I'm Philly I'd rather send a theoretical basketball player than multiple picks and actual basketball players.
