Anyone notice we aren’t getting wide open spot up 3’s like we used to? This was very apparent in the Detroit game. They looked like the veteran team on offense while we looked like the discombobulated young team trying to figure out nba offense. They were getting nothing but wide open corner spot up 3’s. We don’t get those anymore. Ingles is a bigger deal then we know. It’s not the defense holding us back at the moment, it’s our offense.

Ingles is a massive deal. He really encapsulates the way the Jazz should play on both ends. (But the bigger issue is no Gobert, his screening is how the Jazz produce their best looks). Without Gobert the Jazz become more isolation heavy, which is a chore to watch.

I think Rudy is often overlooked on offense. The Detroit offense was ugly in part because Whiteside is not a good screener and decided to park his *** in the post all night. Having a guy in the post really gums up everything... especially if the dude can't pass.

You can bitch about spacing all you want, but Simmons will score at the basket, be a gigantic body to throw the easy lob to Gobert, or if there’s any paint-crowding, you’ve got Donovan, Morris, and Bojan for kickouts.
